يدرك أحد قراصنة الكمبيوتر أن ما يعتبره معظم الناس واقعًا هو في الحقيقة محاكاة يتم إنشاؤها بواسطة آلات، فينضم إلى المتمردين ليتحرر.

عقلك هو مسرح الجريمة. كوب ، لص ماهر يرتكب تجسس الشركات عن طريق التسلل إلى العقل الباطن لأهدافه ، يعرض عليه فرصة لاستعادة حياته القديمة كدفعة مقابل مهمة تعتبر مستحيلة: "البداية" ، زرع فكرة شخص آخر في العقل الباطن للهدف.

في المستقبل القريب، يحاول الشاب المنبوذ (وايد) الهروب من رعبه اليومي عن طريق التحاقه بلعبة إلكترونية تُدعى (الواحة). وعندما يموت مؤسس اللعبة البليونير، تُعرَض ثروته على اللاعبين كجائزة لمن يصل إلى نقطة معينة باللعبة، يجد وايد نفسه مُحاصرًا بديون خصومه من الشركة؛ في الواقع وداخل اللعبة على حد سواء.

يصبح (نيو) آخر آمال البشر، فهو الوحيد القادر على فعل المعجزات، ويحاول (نيو) أن ينقذ مدينة زيون التي سوف تقع قريبًا تحت حصار الآلات. يضع الجميع بقيادة (مورفيوس) ثقتهم الكاملة في (نيو)، ويعلقون عليه الآمال بإنهاء الحرب مع الآلات، لا سيما وهم مؤمنون بالنبوءة التي تتوقع نجاحه. يقرر (نيو) وحبيبته (ترينتي) مرافقة (مورفيوس) إلى الماتريكس لمحاولة الوصول إلى قلب النظام عن طريق صانع المفاتيح. في الوقت ذاته ينجو العميل (سميث) من الإلغاء، ويصبح أكثر قوة عن ذي قبل، ويضع نصب عينه هدفًا أساسيًا هو ملاحقة (نيو).

يعيش "جاي" في عالم غريب بمهنة صراف في أحد البنوك، وتزداد مخاوفه في الحياة حينما يشك أنه يعيش داخل لعبة فيديو، ليدخل في سباق مع الزمن لإنقاذ لعبة الفيديو قبل قيام مطوريها بإغلاقها.

العودة إلى المصدر. تعاني حياة نيو من ذكريات غريبة ، وتأخذ منعطفا غير متوقع عندما يجد نفسه مرة أخرى داخل المصفوفة.

يستيقظ الكابتن كولتر ستيفنز الجندي المزخرف في جسد رجل مجهول ، ويكتشف أنه متورط في مهمة للعثور على مفجر قطار ركاب في شيكاغو. يتعلم أنه جزء من برنامج تجريبي شديد السرية يمكّنه من تجربة الدقائق الثمانية الأخيرة من حياة شخص آخر. يعيد كولتر الحياة لحادث القطار مرارًا وتكرارًا ، ويجمع المزيد من الأدلة في كل مرة.

While looking for the cryptic creator of an innovative augmented-reality game, an investment firm executive meets a woman who runs a hostel in Spain.

Lu Shuiyin (Riku Suigin in Japanese) is a master of gaming, a skill only known to his classmate Lu Lian (Riku Lin in Japanese). One day, Shuiyin receives a device from Lu Lian for a tomb raiding online game. While Shuiyin is excited to receive the device, Lian is suddenly kidnapped. Shuiyin touches the device that was left behind, pulling him inside the game and trapping him there. What is the imaginary world inside the device? What will Shuiyin find there? It is a world where two groups of people fight over the power of the gods, which originates from the tomb the mother goddess Pangu (Bango in Japanese). The two groups are the tomb raiders and the tomb protectors. The device Shuiyin received from Lian is called the Monolith, and it allows a normal gamer to go near the tomb. The tomb raiding group plans its attack by recruiting common people in the name of gaming. Shuiyin, as the final tomb protector, must fight against the raiders in order to save Lian.
