THE BRIEFCASE features hard-working American families experiencing financial setbacks who are presented with a briefcase containing a large sum of money and a potentially life-altering decision: they can keep all of the money for themselves, or give all or part of it to another family in need.

In Ibana, the so-called "Red Nation," there lives a mythical creature known as the Red Fox—said to take on human form and steal human livers. Though the legend of the Red Fox has long faded into obscurity, the world is once again thrown into chaos with its sudden reappearance. At the heart of this turmoil stands the princess of the Red Nation named Sana.

A naive student vows to preserve his virginity for his mother. His resolve is tested when he receives a scholarship to study in Jakarta among teenagers who are still exploring their identities.
