This is the tragicomic story of two lovers who cannot ever get together.

This is the story of the politician named Zübük. He gets expelled from the political party that he is a member of, due to corruption. The journalist Yaşar wants to make a news story about his case and investigates Zübük's doings. Yaşar gets baffled at the sly tricks Zübük played on his village people. In the end, he feels sorry about Zübük's present situation, however, as things happen he becomes aware that Zübük has been tricking him.

Hasmet, director of love stories, wants to make a film which is different than the movies he made before. This movie has a social message. He tries to find a producer but film industry is mainly out of money. When he thinks he finds one, nothing goes as it planned.

Mahmut and Abidin work as comedians at a night club, Mahmut is honest yet Abidin is sly. A deaf and mute girl named Kumru is brought to work in the night club.

Selamsiz (wich means 'no greeting') is a small town in Anatolia. The town has a lot of problems but noone from governments come and see the town. One day the mayor learns that the prime minister will come to the city. They, now, have a chance to solve their problems. However, they think that they should have a band to greet the prime minister.

Sultan Khan of Ottoman Empire has fallen in love with Princess Iren of Byzantium. When he asks her father Niktol for her hand he refuses and tries to kill Khan. The Sultan's armies then attack and overtake Constantinople (now renamed Istanbul). Niktol kills Princess Iren and flees with his army to the island of Lesbos. From Lesbos, Niktol launches a series of ruthless attacks on Turkish villages resulting in the death of one of the Sultan's guard's mother. The guard, Murat, is sent by the Sultan on a mission to avenge his mother's death and bring back the head of the man who killed Iren. Murat goes undercover in Lesbos posing as Royal Guard Kostas, seeking the killers.

Mute blond bombshell Zeynep lives with her aging father at a farm. One day, five criminals break in, killing the father and raping Zeynep. The shock restores Zeynep's speech and she seeks revenge. With the help of the friendly hobo Murat, she learns to be an expert shooter, takes a brown belt in karate, and sets out to kill them all.

Under the leadership of Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, the Ottoman army captures one Byzantine territory after another, culminating in the conquest of Constantinople, which becomes the capital of the Ottoman Empire. During this time, Vlad the Impaler, the ruthless and notorious ruler of Wallachia, launches brutal raids on Turkish villages, ambushing and savagely killing Ottoman soldiers. To put an end to Vlad's atrocities, Sultan Mehmed tasks Hamza Pasha with confronting him. Vlad ensnares the Ottoman raiders, taking most of them captive, including the brother of Kara Murat. Kara Murat is coerced into betraying his master and is sent to the Ottoman palace as a spy.

A fortune-teller reveals the Sultan that his daughter will get married to somebody poor, born on the same day with her. So, the Sultan gets all the baby boys born on the same day are killed and only Kadir is saved. Kadir and Leyla grow up together. Leyla wants to marry him but the Sultan refuses this idea. He orders Kadir to be killed, yet Kadir survives fatally wounded. Leyla finds Kadir's place where he is kept as a prisoner. As they escape they get caught. Leyla dies and Kadir who has lost her loved one goes to the desert with the image of Leyla alive in his heart.

Byzantine Prince kills Kara Murat's father and kidnaps his brother to raise him as the Black Knight to fight against Turks. Years later, Kara Murat has to face the notorious enemy in a mission to save abducted Karaca Pasha of Rumelia.
