I Baywatch møder vi livredderen Mitch Buchannon, som tager en, ny flabet rekrut under sine vinger. Men det umage par skal ikke kun redde nødstedte badenymfer. En superskurk truer nemlig stranden og vores to venner tager kampen op.

I Florida er teenagerne Claire og Hailey bedste veninder og temmelig utilfredse med Claires mors planer om at flytte familien til Australien. Men inden det kommer så vidt strander teenage-havfruen Aquamarine i Haileys pool. Hun skal giftes væk mod sin vilje med mindre hun kan bevise eksistensen af ægte kærlighed, og de to veninder beslutter straks at hjælpe havvæsnet i nød.

”Wonder Wheel” er historien om fire menneskers liv, der flettes sammen i en charmerende og travl forlystelsespark på Coney Island. Servitricen, Ginny, er tidligere skuespiller med tendens til både ekstrem begejstring og stille melankoli. Humpty er Ginnys kradsbørstige mand og karruseloperatør. Micky er den nydelige unge livredder, der drømmer om at blive manuskriptforfatter. Endelig møder vi Carolina, Humptys datter, som han ikke har haft kontakt med i mange år, og som nu skjuler sig i faderens lejlighed på flugt fra gangstere.

Den kejtede gymnasiepige Brandy føler ikke, at hun er klar til at begynde på college, så længe hun stadig er jomfru. Hun vælger at bruge sommeren på at arbejde sig igennem alle de sociale aktiviteter, som hun sagde nej til i high school.
