'Kraven the Hunter' fortæller historien om, hvordan og hvorfor en af Marvels mest ikoniske skurke opstod. Kravens komplekse forhold til sin hensynsløse far, fører ham ned ad hævnens vej med brutale konsekvenser. Det motiverer ham til ikke kun at blive den største jæger i verden, men også en af dens mest frygtede.
I storbyen San Fransokyo bliver teenageren Hiro nære venner med den oppustelige servicerobot, Baymax, som hans storebror har udviklet. Hiro er selv et teknikgeni, og da han opdager, at nogen har kopieret hans eget robotprojekt, kommer han i farezonen. Sammen med vennerne fra robotlaboratoriet - Go Go, Wasabi, Honey Lemon og Fred - danner Hiro og Baymax superhelteholdet Big Hero 6 for at stoppe skurkene.
Mens han kæmper med sin dobbelte identitet, støder Arthur Fleck ikke kun på ægte kærlighed, men finder også den musik, der altid har været inde i ham.
Det er gået ned af bakke siden Bob Parr alias Hr. Utrolig var verdens sejeste superhelt. 15 år senere er Bob blevet forsikringsmand, småfed og bedsteborgerlig med kone, forstadsvilla og tre børn. Men da han bliver mobbet af teenagere på gaden, hånet af forretningsmænd i metroen og drillet af hans klovnekollegaer, bringes den udstødte mand kun endnu mere ude af synk med alle omkring ham.
I et dystert, dunkelt hus bor Gru. Og Gru er en grusom type. Han er så grusom, at han har udtænkt en plan, som vil chokere hele verden: Han vil stjæle månen. Intet kan stoppe Gru, for han bruger både krympestråler, frysestråler og tungt armerede køretøjer og luftfartøjer til at rydde eventuelle modstandere af vejen. Men så møder han de tre forældreløse piger Agnes, Edith og Margo. Og de synes ganske overraskende, at Gru har faderpotentiale.
Historien tager os tilbage til 70'erne, hvor Gru er barn i en tid, hvor bukser med svaj og disco er et hit. Men Gru er kun optaget af superskurke og specielt The Vicious 6, en gruppe som han drømmer om at blive medlem af. Derfor har Gru udtænkt en plan, så han kan blive en ægte superskurk. Heldigvis, hvis man kan sige det, får han hjælp af sine loyale følgere, de gule, kaosskabende minions. Kevin, Stuart, Bob og Otto – og en nye minion med bøjle – går i gang med at bygge Grus første skurketilholdssted, eksperimenterer med våben og sætte deres første mission i søen.
En rigmand og hans søster har sat sig for at bringe Metrovilles forbudte superhelte til ære og værdighed igen. Som spydspids for deres kampagne vælger de Elastipigen, alias Helen Parr. Den tidligere superskurk Gru, hans bedårende piger og de uforudsigelige, morsomme minions vender tilbage sammen med en række helt nye, sjove karakterer. Den altid foretagsomme Gru har lagt sit liv som forbryder bag sig for at opfostre Margo, Edith og Agnes, og det giver Gru, Dr. Nefario og de gule minions en masse fritid. Men lige da Gru er ved at vende sig til sit nye liv i forstaden, kommer en superhemmelig organisation, som bekæmper ondskab over hele verden, forbi og beder om hjælp. Det er nu op til Gru og hans nye makker Lucy Wilde at finde ud af, hvem der står bag en spektakulær forbrydelse og fange ham. Verdens tidligere største skurk må trods alt kunne fange den, som forsøger at overtage hans plads.

When the case against Sugiura was dropped for lack of evidence, Cosmos was put back on the air. TBS and Tsuburaya ultimately pulled five episodes from broadcast to make up for time lost, and these episodes were later released on DVD.

The show is full of homages to past series by having three of the original cast members from the first Ultraman series being featured in an episode, updated versions of classic monsters like Red King, Eleking and Pigmon among others. One unusual episode revolves around the filming of the 1964 program Ultra Q which was the predecessor to the first Ultraman show in 1966. Two actors from that show appear as themselves.
