Ingeniøren og enkemanden Cooper melder sig til at drage ud i det ukendte for at finde et frugtbart levested for menneskeracen i en anden galakse - også selv om det betyder, at han må forlade sine teenagebørn i et uvist antal år.

Los Angeles 2049. Politimanden K, en blade runner, jager gamle replikanter, som skal "pensioneres". Han kommer på sporet af et barn og en hemmelighed, der kan potentielt styrte resten af det civiliserede samfund i grus. Rick Deckard, en anden blade runner, kender barnet og sandheden, men har været forsvundet de sidste 30 år.

En weekendtur med venner til en afsides hytte forvandles til kaos, da det afsløres, at en af gæsterne er en robotkammerat.

I 2029 dominerer supercomputerne Jorden - fast besluttet på at udrydde menneskeracen totalt. Den sender en dødbringende cyborg tilbage i tiden for at ændre på historien ved at myrde Sarah Conner - kvinden hvis ufødte barn vil blive menneskehedens eneste håb om frelse. En ulige kamp for den helt uvidende kvinde - hvis eneste håb også kommer fra fremtiden.

Los Angeles 2019. En flok oprørske replikanter er vendt tilbage til jorden og skjuler sig i storbyen. Dusørjægeren Deckard skal skaffe dem af vejen. Undervejs forelsker han sig i den smukke, sorthårede Rachael, som måske - måske ikke - er replikant. Kærlighedshistorien kaster et nyt lys over hans arbejde og gør det sværere for ham i slutopgøret med replikanternes leder.

En robotingeniør udvikler ved hjælp at kunstig intelligens en livagtig dukke til sin niece. Der går ikke længe før dukken bliver voldelig og vil gøre hvad som helst for at beskytte pigen.

Filmen 'Her' handler om den introverte Theodore Twombly, der lever af at skrive kærlighedsbreve for folk, der har svært ved at udtrykke følelser. Theodore er netop kommet ud af et langt forhold og er både ensom og smådeprimeret. For at komme videre med sin tilværelse køber han et operativsystem, der tilbyder et intuitivt ”væsen”, som er skræddersyet til sin bruger. Langsomt begynder Theodore at knytte sig til dette underholdende, varme men alligevel kunstige væsen ved navn Samantha, og venskabet udvikler sig til et anderledes kærlighedsforhold.

En forældreløs teenager tager afsted med en mystisk robot for at finde sin forsvundne bror og løber undervejs ind i en smugler og hans spydige makker.

I år 2029 kæmper menneskene mod maskinernes overmagt. Lederen af menneskenes oprør, John Connor, sender sergenten Kyle Reese tilbage til 1984 for at beskytte John’s mor, Sarah Connor, og dermed sikre sin egen eksistens. Men tidsrejsen går galt og får den uventede konsekvens, at tidslinjen går i stykker. Reese ender i en ny og alternativ fortid. Her må han påtage sig en ny og uforudset mission: At genstarte fremtiden.

Major Motoko Kusanagi er grundet "The Laughing mans" seneste trussel, imidlertid på en opgave for at beskytte politiets general direktør ved en presse konference. Dette bliver begyndelsen på Section 9's mange møder med "The Laughing man". I mellemtiden har de fået til opgave at pågribe en udenlandsk revolutionær og samtidig sætte en stopper for det der ligner en organ smugler ring. Majoren og Section 9 er stærkt besluttet på at få disse kriminelle pågrebet!

Neo er plaget af mærkelige minder, og hans liv tager en uventet drejning, da han endnu en gang befinder sig i Matrix.
