Mehdi leads an exemplary life with his family and Selma, his new girlfriend in Marrakech. For the young couple, things are going smoothly until Mehdi meets Marie, a young French woman caught up in the social life of the expatriate community.

Saaghi and her two friends have come to the largest park in Teheran to take pictures of the one-in-a-century total eclipse announced later in the afternoon. Mischievous and rebellious, they steal a camera stand, lie to their parents and discuss boys as well as an upcoming party. Their wanderings lead them to a remote part of the park. As the sun disappears, Saaghi sees something that should have stayed hidden.

To mark his recent appointment, the new Pope prepares for a tour of Latin America, only to find that the Vatican is bankrupt. A rich Mexican woman offers to help out. In return for financing his trip, she demands he attends an event in his honour in the city of Ciudad Juarez – Mexico’s capital of crime. The “guardian angel” turns out to be a drug trafficker, and when she discovers that a lookalike Pope has been sent in his place, confusion, laughter and unexpected chaos ensue.
