Spacecom-Raumfahrt-Ingenieur Roy McBride ist ein glücklich verheirateter, leicht autistischer Einzelgänger, der es nie verwunden hat, dass sein Vater vor 20 Jahren zu einer mysteriösen Mission zum Neptun aufbrach, von der er nie zurückkehrte.
