Vor 30 Jahren ereignete sich eine Katastrophe, die mittlerweile »Great World Blaze« genannt wird. Dabei rissen Menschen durch massive spontane Selbstentzündung zahlreiche andere mit in den Tod; letztendlich wurde dabei die gesamte Weltbevölkerung halbiert. In dieser Zeit tauchten auch die ersten sogenannten Burnish auf – Menschen, die dazu in der Lage sind, Feuer frei zu manipulieren. Da deren Fähigkeiten überwiegend zerstörerischer Natur sind und manchmal außer Kontrolle geraten, werden Burnish vom Großteil der Gesellschaft gefürchtet, verachtet und verfolgt.

Sieben Jahre nach der gewaltigen Schlacht um Teppelin gegen den Spiral King Lordgenome sind nun vergangen und Simon wurde zum neuen Herrscher gewählt. Trotz einiger Unruhen verbleibender Gunmen, darunter auch Viral, ist endlich Frieden und Wohlstand eingekehrt. Leicht bleibt das Leben für Simon und seine Gefährten aber nicht und schon bald müssen sie sich neuen Aufgaben stellen. Ein neuer Feind, der sich selbst die "Anti-Spiral" nennt, erscheint und stellt alle bisherigen Feinde in den Schatten. Warum attackieren die Anti-Spirals die Menschen und was hat Nia damit zu tun? Ein neues Abenteuer für Simon und seine Mitstreiter beginnt, bei dem das Schicksal der Menschheit auf dem Spiel steht. Bei Gekijouban Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Lagann-hen handelt es sich um eine Zusammenfassung der zweiten Hälfte von Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann mit einigen neuen Szenen. Hierbei wird nahtlos am Vorgängerfilm Gekijouban Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Gurren-hen angeknüpft und die Handlung fortgesetzt.

Seit Rikka von einem Gridman, einem Superagenten aus einer anderen Dimension, gerettet wurde, hat sich ihr Leben verändert. Neubearbeitete Zusammenfassung des ersten Teils (Folge 1 bis 15) der gleichnamigen Serie. Die Story selbst beinhaltet einige neu animierte Szenen sowie Kürzungen bei Episoden, die wenig zum Verlauf der Handlung beitragen. Ebenso wurde ein neuer Titelsong, erneut von Shoko Nakagawa, verwendet.

Transformers: Cybertron, known in Japan originally as Transformers: Galaxy Force, is the 2005-2007 Transformers toy line and animated series, another co-production between Hasbro and Takara. It was aired in Japan as a separate rebooted transformers series, though in America, the English dub was presented as a sequel to the previous series, Transformers: Armada and Transformers: Energon by adding dialogue and reusing a number of screens to link elements of the Armada and Energon series to the show, giving the impression that it is a sequel. Mashin Hero Wataru is a comedy/adventure Super Robot multimedia franchise originally consisting of 45 episode anime series created by Sunrise first aired on April 15, 1988. Sunrise credited "Hajime Yatate" for the storyline and Shuji Iuchi directed the series. The series employs a kinetic visual gag style, often employing characters running with their feet over their shoulders derived from Sunrise's previous Super Robot anime series Choriki Robo Galatt.

Mazinger Z, known briefly as Tranzor Z in the United States, is a Japanese super robot manga series written and illustrated by Go Nagai. The first manga version was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from October 1972 to August 1973, and it later continued in Kodansha TV Magazine from October 1973 to September 1974. It was adapted into an anime television series which aired on Fuji TV from December 1972 to September 1974. A second manga series was released alongside the TV show, this one drawn by Gosaku Ota, which started and ended almost at the same time of the TV show. Mazinger Z has spawned several sequels and spinoff series, among them UFO Robot Grendizer and Mazinkaiser. It was a very popular cartoon in Mexico during the 1980s, where it was dubbed into Spanish directly from the Japanese version, keeping the Japanese character names and broadcasting all 92 episodes, unlike the version aired in the U.S.

Half way through the story the Demon Empire's master, Barao, is released from his statue prison and intends to finish what he started twelve thousand years earlier.

Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter or Chō Soku Henkei Gyrozetter (literally Hyper Speed Transformation Gyrozetter) is a multimedia franchise created by Square Enix, spanning a transforming Japanese arcade game, a manga series written by Ryutaro Ichmura and illustrated by Teruaki Mizuno, and an anime series by A-1 Pictures on the Fall 2012 Anime lineup.

Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos, also known as Revenge of the Gobots, is a Japanese anime television series produced by Ashi Productions. It ran on TV Tokyo from July 3, 1986 through May 28, 1987. A large portion of the Machine Robo toy-line was exported and sold by Tonka in America as Gobots and Rock Lords. To date, only 15 episodes of the series have officially been released with English subtitles on three DVDs by Central Park Media.

Gravion is an anime television series produced by Gonzo. It aired in Japan from October 7, 2002 to December 16, 2002 and ran for 13 episodes. In 2004, Gravion Zwei was released and aired from January 8 to March 25 in Japan, running for twelve additional episodes, answering the questions generated from the first series. Both Gravion and Gravion Zwei are created and directed by Masami Ōbari with mecha designs from Kunio Okawara. Both series were released in the United States by ADV Films.
