Der hochdekorierte Marineoffizier Tom Farrell beginnt im Pentagon, seinem neuen Arbeitsplatz, ein Verhältnis mit Susan Atwell, ohne zu ahnen, daß sie die Geliebte des Verteidigungsministers David Brice ist. Der tötet Susan bei einem Streit und will sich der Polizei stellen. Das aber wird ihm von Mitarbeiter Scott Pritchard ausgeredet, der die Suche nach dem Mitwisser der Tat - Tom Farrell - in die Jagd nach einem Sowjetspion namens Yuri umfunktioniert. Tom erhält den Auftrag, Yuri zu suchen. Als sich die Situation zuspitzt, läßt Brice Pritchard fallen, der sich erschießt. Was keiner ahnt, Tom ist wirklich Yuri, der jetzt das volle Vertrauen von Brice besitzt.

Der russische Diplomat Vlassow läuft in Paris kurz vor seiner Rückkehr nach Rußland zu den Amerikanern über und bietet diesem gegen Asyl Informationen über russische Spione in den Reihen der Amerikaner und Nato-Partner an. Der Chef der CIA, Davies ist mißtrauisch gegenüber und wendet sich an den britischen Service-Agent Boyle. Da beginnen anonyme Täter, die möglichen Spione aus dem Weg zu räumen, zuerst die in Deutschland und in England. Bald schon ist auch der Franzose Berthon im Visier der Ermittler. Doch will Vlassow wirklich Asyl oder steckt hinter seinem Verhalten ein bestimmter Plan?

1944 wird Ted Hall für das geheime Manhattan-Projekt rekrutiert. Doch ihn plagt die Sorge, dass ein Monopol der USA auf die Atombombe zu einer nuklearen Katastrophe führen könnte. So beschließt er, Spion für die Sowjetunion zu werden.

Eine Krise, die zum dritten Weltkrieg führen könnte, bedroht das britische Königreich: Die englische Prinzessin wird von Rebellen entführt und der größenwahnsinnige Premierminister droht atomare Vergeltung an. Es gelingt, die Prinzessin aus Londons Wachsfigurenkabinett zu befreien und die Welt vor der Apokalypse zu retten, oder doch nicht?

After the unsuccessful attempt on the life of Baron Wrangel and the death of an intelligence agent, a new cunning plan is being developed to implement the "Crimean Mission". The best agent, Elena Golubovskaya, is appointed to this case. In Crimea, Golubovskaya appears already as El Ferrari - a gifted Italian poet. Her task is to eliminate Wrangel in order to demoralize the white movement, as well as control the operation to steal gold. Her plans are thwarted by Maximilian Ermler, a local newspaper journalist who turns out to be a British intelligence agent.

Alexander Belov is a Russian spy, who travels from Soviet-held Latvia to Nazi Germany under an alias of Johann Weiss. His mastery of the German language, steel nerves and an ability to manipulate others help him to use his connections in the SS to ascend the ladder of the German intelligence. He uses his position to identify sympathetic Germans, who help him to procure vital intelligence, and to help local resistance movements in their collective fight against Nazism.

In 1934, four brilliant Cambridge students are recruited to spy for Russia. Fueled by youthful idealism, a passion for social justice and a talent for lying, they take huge personal risks to pass Britain's biggest secrets to Moscow.

The KGB has influenced world events on numerous occasions before. Assassinations, coup d’états, theft of nuclear secrets and sexpionage are just standard trademarks for an organisation that still sends shivers down the spines of politicians and military figures the world over. It may have changed its name on various occasions, from Cheka to SPD to OGPU to NKVD to MGB to KGB to an array of different names after the collapse of the Soviet Union to FSB and SVR today, but it will forever be known, internally and externally, as the KGB.
