Σε μια επαρχιακή γειτονιά, υπάρχει ένα μαύρο σπίτι με ένα καλά κρυμμένο καταφύγιο θαμμένο από κάτω του, τόπο διαμονής του πανούργου Γκρου και του απερίγραπτα κωμικού στρατού του από minions… Ο Γκρου, που μόνιμα καταστρώνει υποχθόνια πλάνα, έχει αυτήν την περίοδο ένα νέο, μεγαλεπήβολο σχέδιο: να κλέψει το φεγγάρι!
