Ο Ντέρεκ Ζουλάντερ έχει αντιμετωπίσει ως τώρα επιτυχώς τα αμέτρητα κυνηγητά από τους επίμονους παπαράτσι κι έχει κερδίσει τον τίτλο του «Καλύτερου Μοντέλου της Χρονιάς» για τρεις συνεχόμενους διαγωνισμούς, χωρίς μάλιστα να κινδυνέψει σοβαρά από άλλον αντίπαλο. Μόνο που τώρα αυτό το παγκοσμίως διάσημο φωτομοντέλο θέλει ν΄ αποδείξει ότι δεν είναι απλά ένας αντικειμενικά πολύ όμορφος γκόμενος ντυμένος με σακάκι από δέρμα φιδιού. Πολύ περισσότερο είναι έτοιμος να αποδείξει σ' όλους ότι είναι μεν ένας πολύ όμορφος άντρας, θα πρέπει, όμως, να τον υπολογίζει ως σοβαρό αντίπαλο ο υπόκοσμος του χώρου της μόδας, δίνοντας έτσι στα εκατομμύρια των θαυμαστών του κι ένα σοβαρό λόγο να τον λατρέψουν ακόμη πιο πολύ!

Λονδίνο, δεκαετία του 1950. Ο διάσημος μόδιστρος Ρέινολντ Γούντκοκ και η αδελφή του, Σίριλ, βρίσκονται στο επίκεντρο της βρετανικής μόδας, ντύνοντας το παλάτι, κινηματογραφικούς αστέρες, πλούσιους και δημόσια πρόσωπα υπό το ευδιάκριτο στυλ του Οίκου των Γούντκοκ. Αυτός που κάποτε έλεγχε και σχεδίαζε απόλυτα τη ζωή του, βρίσκεται τώρα διασπασμένος από την αγάπη.

Έχουν περάσει δέκα χρόνια από τις εποχές της δόξας τους, και πλέον τον Ντέρεκ και τον Χάνσελ δεν τους μνημονεύει κανείς. Η λύση τους είναι να επαναπροσδιορίσουν το σύνολο του εαυτού τους, Κι ενώ έχουν κάνει μαζί τη μεγάλη επιστροφή, μια αντίπαλη εταιρία μοντέλων βάλλεται να τους εξαφανίσει από την πιάτσα. Η πορεία της επιχείρησης αλλάζει ριζικά. Νέα σχέδια, έντονα χρώματα, ψηλά τακούνια, μπότες ως το μηρό και πολλά ακόμα ριζοσπαστικά στοιχεία θα φέρουν νέο αέρα στο παλιό εργοστάσιο και θα εκτινάξουν τις πωλήσεις.
