Μετά από τέσσερα χρόνια σχέσης, χωρίς την πολυπόθητη πρόταση γάμου, η Άννα Μπρέιντι (Έιμι Άνταμς), διακοσμήτρια διαμερισμάτων προς ενοικίαση, αποφασίζει να πάρει την κατάσταση στα χέρια της. Επενδύοντας στην αρχαία ιρλανδική παράδοση που θέλει τις γυναίκες να κάνουν πρόταση γάμου στους άνδρες κάθε 29η Φεβρουαρίου (Leap Day), η Άννα αποφασίζει να ακολουθήσει τον καρδιολόγο φίλο της Τζέρεμι (Άνταμ Σκοτ), από την Βοστόνη, στο Δουβλίνο και να ναι εκείνη που θα ζητήσει το χέρι του. Απλό κι εύκολο! Για κακή της τύχη, η Άννα ταλαιπωρημένη από αναξιόπιστες αεροπορικές εταιρίες και κακές καιρικές συνθήκες, αναγκάζεται να μείνει στην άλλη πλευρά της Ιρλανδίας. Εκεί θα ζητήσει τη βοήθεια ενός ανέμελου, αλλά δύστροπου σεφ, του Ντέκλαν (Μάθιου Γκουντ), για να μπορέσει να διασχίσει τη χώρα. Καθώς οι 2 τους τσακώνονται στο Σμαραγδένιο Νησί, θα ανακαλύψουν κάτι που έπρεπε να ήξεραν ήδη: ο δρόμος για την αγάπη μπορεί να σε ταξιδέψει σε μέρη που δεν περίμενες.

Η ανύπαντρη μητέρα Φλόρα νιώθει χαμένη για το πώς να χειριστεί τον επαναστάτη έφηβο γιο της, Μαξ. Οι προσπάθειές της να τον κρατήσει μακριά από μπελάδες οδηγούν σε μια ακουστική κιθάρα σαράβαλο, έναν ξοφλημένο μουσικό του ΛΑ και στην αρμονία για αυτήν την οικογένεια του Δουβλίνου.

Ένας φοιτητής ιατρικής σχολής έχει επανειλημμένα καεί από κακές σχέσεις. Συναντά μια νέα κοπέλα, η οποία ζει πολλά χρόνια με τον φίλο της και έτσι δημιουργείται μια στενή φιλία. Παρόλα αυτά, δεν υπάρχει καμία αμφιβολία οτι υπάρχει χημεία μεταξύ τους, με αποτέλεσμα να αναρωτιούνται, πώς θα είναι αν η αγάπη της ζωής τους είναι στη πραγματικότητα ο καλύτερος τους φίλος.

Η καριέρα των Μάπετς έχει εκτοξευθεί και βρίσκονται σε παγκόσμια περιοδεία με παραστάσεις στο Βερολίνο, τη Μαδρίτη,το Λονδίνο και το Δουβλίνο. Τα σχέδιά τους ανατρέπονται όταν διασταυρώνονται με έναν από τους πιο διαβόητους εγκληματίες του κόσμου, ο οποίος είναι ίδιος ο Κέρμιτ.

Δουβλίνο, δεκαετία του 1980. Ο 14χρονος Κόσμο πρέπει να «δραπετεύσει» από ένα σπίτι-πεδίο μάχης των γονιών του, να ανταπεξέλθει με τις συνήθειες του μεγάλου του αδελφού και να επιβιώσει από το νέο δημόσιο σχολείο όπου τα παιδιά είναι σκληρά. Ο Κόσμο θα γράψει ένα τραγούδι, θα φτιάξει μια μπάντα με συμμαθητές του, θα γράψει κι άλλα τραγούδια, μέχρι και που θα γυρίσουν μουσικά βίντεο. Αλλά για να τα πετύχει όλα αυτά, χρειάζεται χρήματα, κι αυτά έρχονται με ζητιανιά, δανικά, κλεψιές. Και όταν συνειδητοποιεί ότι δεν μπορεί να σώσει την οικογένεια του, αποφασίζει να κάνει μια νέα δική του.

Στην Ιρλανδία του 1920, ο Ντάμιεν εγκαταλείπει την ιατρική του καριέρα και γίνεται παρτιζάνος στον αγώνα κατά των Βρετανών. Διαφωνώντας αργότερα με την απόφαση της μερικής ανεξαρτησίας, αρνείται να παραδώσει τα όπλα και παίρνει μέρος σε μια εμφύλια σύγκρουση που τον φέρνει αντιμέτωπο με τον αδελφό του.

Η δυναμική Βερόνικα κατέληξε να γίνει ηρωίδα της χώρας της, παίζοντας τη ζωή της κορώνα γράμματα. Ο υπόκοσμος αποπειράθηκε πολλές φορές να της κλείσει το στόμα. Και τελικά τα κατάφερε Πρόκειται για την αληθινή ιστορία της Veronica Guerin.

Η Άλμπερτ Νομπς δυσκολεύεται να τα βγάλει πέρα στην Ιρλανδία του 19ου αιώνα, όπου οι γυναίκες δεν ενθαρρύνονται να είναι ανεξάρτητες. Παριστάνοντας τον άντρα πιάνει δουλειά σαν μπάτλερ στο ακριβότερο ξενοδοχείο του Δουβλίνου, αλλά εκεί γνωρίζει έναν όμορφο ζωγράφο και προσπαθεί να ξεφύγει από το ψέμα που έχει δημιουργήσει.

Μια νεαρή Τσέχα μουσικός, μετανάστρια στο Δουβλίνο, γίνεται πλανόδια πωλήτρια για να ενισχύσει το εισόδημά της. Στο δρόμο, όμως, συναντά ένα νεαρό κιθαρίστα και αποφασίζουν να βοηθήσουν ο ένας τον άλλο να πραγματοποιήσουν τα όνειρά τους.

Ο Cheyenne είναι ένας πρώην ροκ σταρ. Στην ηλικία των πενήντα ντύνεται ακόμα “Goth” και ζει στο Δουβλίνο από τα δικαιώματα των τραγουδιών του. Ο θάνατος του πατέρα του, με τον οποίο δεν μιλούσαν, τον φέρνει πίσω στην Νέα Υόρκη. Ανακαλύπτει πως ο πατέρας του είχε μια εμμονή: να πάρει εκδίκηση για έναν εξευτελισμό που είχε υποστεί. Ο Cheyenne αποφασίζει να συνεχίσει από το σημείο όπου είχε φτάσει ο πατέρας του, ξεκινώντας ένα ταξίδι σε ολόκληρη την Αμερική.

Bachelors Walk was a comedy-drama based around three single men living in a house in Dublin’s Bachelors Walk. The drama was shot in and around Dublin. The programme was first broadcast on RTÉ on 1 October 2001. The drama revolves around Barry (Keith McErlean) looking for a get-rich-quick scheme, Raymond (Don Wycherley) the film critic and Michael (Simon Delaney) the would-be barrister. After a run of three series and an absence for three years, "Bachelors Walk" concluded for a one-off Christmas special which aired on St. Stephen's Day 2006 on RTÉ Two.
