Με τον μισό πληθυσμό της Γης αποδεκατισμένο, οι εναπομείναντες Εκδικητές ανασυντάσσουν τις δυνάμεις τους με σκοπό να αλλάξουν τον ρου της ιστορίας και να αποκαταστήσουν την ισορροπία στο σύμπαν.

Μετά την ατυχή κατάληξη μιας φιλόδοξης εφεύρεσής του, ο ορφανός Λιούις, ένα 12χρονο αγόρι-θαύμα, ταξιδεύει στο μέλλον με μια μηχανή του χρόνου. Εκεί, θα γνωρίσει μια θεότρελη οικογένεια που θα του αλλάξει μια για πάντα τη ζωή!

Μια έφηβη του 2024 ταξιδεύει κατά λάθος στο 2003, λίγες μέρες πριν ένας μασκοφόρος σκοτώσει την αδελφή της. Μπορεί να αλλάξει το παρελθόν χωρίς να καταστρέψει το μέλλον;

Η ανατρεπτική αυτή περιπέτεια έχει για πρωταγωνιστή έναν πράκτορα του χρόνου που αναλαμβάνει πάντα τις πιο επικίνδυνες υποθέσεις. Οι αποστολές του τον υποχρεώνουν να ταξιδεύει στον χρόνο και να λύνει τα πιο αξεδιάλυτα μυστήρια.Τώρα, στην τελευταία του αποστολή, ο πράκτορας πρέπει να επιστρατεύσει τον νεότερο εαυτό του, καθώς καταδιώκει έναν εγκληματία που έχει κατορθώσει να του ξεφύγει σε διάφορες χρονικές στιγμές...

Όταν ένας αιχμάλωτος σε διαστημική φυλακή εξωγήινος δραπετεύει και γυρίζει πίσω στο χρόνο για να σκοτώσει τον πράκτορα Κέι και να απειλήσει το μέλλον του πλανήτη, ο πράκτορας Τζέι είναι υποχρεωμένος να τον ακολουθήσει. Το 1969 όμως κρύβει πολλά μυστικά κι εκπλήξεις.

Φίλοι και αρχάριοι επιστήμονες εφευρίσκουν μια συσκευή στο γκαράζ τους η οποία μειώνει την μάζα οποιουδήποτε αντικειμένου βάλουν μέσα, αλλά κατά λάθος ανακαλύπτουν πως έχει κάποιες ασύλληπτα αναπάντεχες δυνατότητες - οι οποίες δυνητικά θα τους επιτρέπουν να κάνουν και να αποκτήσουν ό,τι θέλουν. Η πρώτη δυσκολία που θ΄αντιμετωπίσουν είναι να εκμεταλλευτούν αυτές τις δυνατότητες. Η δεύτερη θα είναι να αντιμετωπίσουν τις συνέπειες.

Πάντα με μια κάμερα να καταγράφει τα πάντα, μια νεανική παρέα βρίσκει από τύχη τα σύνεργα που χρειάζονται για να κατασκευαστεί μια μηχανή του χρόνου. Η επιτυχία είναι απόλυτη και αρχικά η παρέα το διασκεδάζει με την εφεύρεση της. Ύστερα, όμως, έρχονται οι συνέπειες, αφού όταν παίζεις με το παρελθόν, ρισκάρεις θανάσιμα το μέλλον.

Το 1899 ο Νεοϋορκέζος εφευρέτης Αλεξάντερ ταξιδεύει στο χρόνο για να μπορέσει να αποτρέψει το θάνατο της αρραβωνιαστικιάς του. Βρίσκεται όμως 800.000 χρόνια στο μέλλον, όπου η Γη κατοικείται από τους άκακους Ελόι και τους υπάνθρωπους Μόρλοκς.

Όταν ο Λου, ο οποίος έχει γίνει πλέον ο «πατέρας του Internet», πυροβολείται από έναν άγνωστο δράστη, ο Τζέικομπ και ο Νικ ανάβουν ξανά τη μηχανή του χρόνου με την ελπίδα ότι θα μπορέσουν να σώσουν τον φίλο τους.

Την τελευταία μέρα του 1899 ένας Βικτωριανός επιστήμονας, επιδεικνύει στους φίλους του μια μινιατούρα της μηχανής που έχει εφεύρει. Μιας μηχανής που ταξιδεύει στο χρόνο. Προσπαθεί να εξηγήσει την ύπαρξη της τέταρτης διάστασης αλλά οι φίλοι του δείχνουν σκεπτικοί, φαίνεται να μην τον πιστεύουν. Παρ’ όλα αυτά δέχονται την πρόσκλησή του για δείπνο, σε μια βδομάδα, όπου θα τους διηγηθεί τις περιπέτειές του απ’ το ταξίδι στο μέλλον με τους απόγονους της ανθρωπότητας.

Ένας φυσικός εφευρίσκει μια μηχανή του χρόνου ενώ μια μυστηριώδης μοιραία γυναίκα προσπαθεί να την κλέψει. Όλη η πραγματικότητα διακυβεύεται καθώς το επικίνδυνο παρελθόν του ίδιου του γιατρού επιστρέφει για να τον στοιχειώσει.

Τρεις μαθητές του Λυκείου, τελειοποιούν μια χρονομηχανή, την οποία χρησιμοποιούν για να γυρίσουν πίσω στο χρόνο και να βοηθήσουν τα παιδιά που υφίστανται εκφοβισμό. Όταν ανοίγουν κατά λάθος μια μαύρη τρύπα, πρέπει να βρουν πώς να σώσουν τον κόσμο.

Οι κολλητοί συμμαθητές στο λύκειο και πρωτοπόροι στις επιστήμες, C.J. και Sebastian, ξοδεύουν κάθε ελεύθερο λεπτό τους δουλεύοντας πάνω στην τελευταία ανακάλυψη τους, σακίδια που ενεργοποιούν τα ταξίδια στο χρόνο. Όμως, όταν ο Calvin, ο μεγαλύτερος αδελφός της C.J., πεθαίνει ύστερα απο μια αντιπαράθεση με αστυνομικούς, το νεαρό δίδυμο αποφασίζει να χρησιμοποιήσει την ημιτελή τεχνολογία σε μια απέλπιδα προσπάθεια να σώσουν τον Calvin.
