Όταν ο Χόμερ μολύνει κατά λάθος την παροχή νερού της πόλης, το Σπρίνγκφιλντ εγκλωβίζεται σε έναν τεράστιο θόλο του Οργανισμού Περιβαλλοντικής Προστασίας και οι Σίμπσον κηρύσσονται φυγάδες.

Ένα μεταλλαγμένο από τα χημικά απόβλητα τέρας εμφανίζεται στον ποταμό Χαν της Σεούλ, με τη μικρή Χιούν - Σίο να είναι ένα από τα πολυάριθμα θύματά του. Όταν όμως εκείνη ειδοποιεί τον πατέρα της ότι είναι ζωντανή, σύσσωμη η οικογένεια ξεκινά προσπάθεια διάσωσής της.

Έτος 2142. Ο πλανήτης έχει καταστραφεί. Οι πόλεμοι, η μόλυνση του περιβάλλοντος και η εκμετάλλευση όλων των φυσικών πόρων, έχουν δημιουργήσει έναν νεκρό πλανήτη στον οποίο τα σύννεφα έχουν τυλίξει τον ουρανό και η όξινη βροχή πέφτει στα εδάφη. Σε αυτό τον κόσμο, μια ομάδα ανθρώπων της "elite" κοινωνίας κατάφεραν να χρησιμοποιήσουν την μόλυνση αυτή για το καλό της ανθρωπότητας, δημιουργώντας ένα νέο είδος ενέργειας, με την βοήθεια της οποίας δημιουργήθηκε η πόλη Ecoban. Άνθρωποι από όλο τον κόσμο φτάνουν στα προάστια της πόλης αυτής (Marr) με την ελπίδα να μπουν μέσα και να έχουν μια καλύτερη ζωή. Η elite κοινωνία της Ecoban όμως δεν το επιτρέπει αυτό. Φήμες ακούγονται από παντού, πως η κυβέρνηση της Ecoban προσπαθεί να κάνει τα αδύνατα δυνατά να κρατηθεί το ποσοστό μόλυνσης της Γης στα ίδια επίπεδα. Έτσι δημιουργούνται τότε δυο στρατόπεδα.

The Barbaric Machine Clan “Gaiark” was exiled from the Machine World by the Engines, who are huge machines that have their own will. The three always strive to find new ways to disturb the harmony of the forest but their plans are destroyed always by the bears. The bears are always attentive to the advices of the old bear, Plato (who is too old to fly) and his friend Ozzy the owl. This cartoon helps children realize the importance of protecting the environment. The series shows the harmful effects of pollution and fires as well as the important role of the ecosystem.

The economic situation is a nightmare: only 20% of the population is employed. The Actives live inside the city. On the fringes, in the Zone, live the Jobless. Separating them is a wall.

This was the only one of the four that had a futuristic basis. It was set perhaps a couple of decades ahead in a world being slowly drowned by technology, a world in which traffic jams are the norm instead of the exception, and where the people avoid getting caught in the rain for better reasons than simply not wanting to get wet. The Rachel of the title is the younger sister of an up-and-coming marketing executive who has just secured a contract with a wealthy but repulsive millionaire who is into toxic waste, which he stores in secret for large sums of money. Rachel finds that, through a large bank of video screens in her sister's apartment, her wishes can come true when she brings to life the image on an anti-pollution poster. This new friend helps her to make up her mind about her own future. The style of the production was fresh and colourful, the pace slow and moody for the most part, and it made for an interesting half-hour's viewing.
