Adam unexpectedly visits his family house at Christmas after a few years of working abroad. No family member knows about his secret plans and the real reasons of his visit.

Eighty-year-old Tadeusz lives a quiet life as a pensioner with his wife Helena. After years of working in a hospital, he wants to enjoy old age and his charming house with a garden, where they soon plan to hold their beloved granddaughter’s wedding. The idyll is shattered by a tragic car accident that casts a shadow over his marriage and reveals cracks in his relationship with his son.

In Poland, behind the gates of an exclusive housing estate, the life of its wealthy residents is regulated by an old code of honor, due to which the Kowalskis and the Nowaks have been embroiled in a bloody family feud for years.

Tomek leads a comfortable life as a TV anchor and family man when he receives a troubling message from the psychiatric hospital in his hometown: his father, whom he has not seen in years, has just been admitted. During the production of the play based on Aristophanes’ „Birds” the three artist friends face the painful truth about themselves. Someone regrets abandoning someone. Someone seduces the director of the play, because they believe in polyamory. Somebody thinks that the war has never ended and one must never surrender. Someone else claims that it’s all about how you fall and you should know how to drop. And in the meantime, somebody decides to express an unusual declaration of love.
