Kolleegide surmajuhtumeid uurima tulnud James Bond-i (Roger Moore) eluküünalt üritatakse suurlinna saabudes samuti kustutada, kuid ebaõnnestunult. Tapmiskatsest saadud niidiots juhatab 007-e otse Maailma ühe suurima narkokaupmehe Mr. Big-i juurde.
