Korealasest pankur Harold (John Cho) ning tema parim sõber - meditsiinikooli pürgiv Kumar (Kal Penn) - ei ole siin ilmas just soositud mehed. Naised neid ei vaata ja kolleegid ei austa. Ühel päeval pilves peaga telekat vaadates näevad nad reklaami White Castle'i hamburgerirestoranist. Nad otsustavad koheselt ette võtta reisi söögikohani, mis, arvestades nende ebakainet olekut, ei saagi niivõrd lihtne olema kui neile endile esialgu paistab.
