۵۷ سال از زمانی که «اِلن ریپلی» برای اولین بار با موجودات بیگانه روبرو شده می گذرد و سفینهٔ نجات حامل وی، او را در حالت خلسه (خواب مصنوعی) در خود نگاه می‌داشت و به‌صورت سرگردان در فضا چرخان است. بر روی کرهٔ زمین هیچ‌کس داستان وی در مورد وجود آدم فضایی در سیارهٔ LV-426 را باور نمی‌کند. اداره‌ای که با نام «کمپانی» شناخته می‌شود، گروهی را مأمور می‌کند تا به LV-426 بروند و صحت این مطالب را بررسی کنند. پس از مدتی تمامی ارتباطات با گروه فرستاده‌شده قطع می‌شود و «کمپانی»، اِلن ریپلی و گروهی از سربازان بسیار حرفه‌ای را برای بررسی و نجات گروه قبلی به LV-426 می‌فرستد….

موجود فضایی بیگانه ای به نام «ئی.تی.» از سفینه ی فضایی اش که در جنگلی در حومه ی لس آنجلس فرود آمده، جا می ماند و در حیاط خلوت خانه ای پناه می گیرد که در آن «الیوت» ده ساله زندگی می کند. خیلی زود «الیوت»، «ئی. تی.» را می بیند و دوستی و اعتمادش را جلب می کند.

یک ستاره شناس به اسم دکتر «النور آروی» (جودی فاستر) یکسری امواج هوشمند را که از اعماق فضا منتشر شده اند کشف می کند. او و دانشمندان گروهش پیغامها را کشف رمز می کنند و سپس جزئیات نقشه ساخت یک دستگاه برای برقراری ارتباط با این موجودات بیگانه فضایی را تهیه می کنند.

With the fifth offshoot of the "Ben 10" franchise, the animated series returns to its roots and its original name, bringing 10-year-old Benjamin "Ben" Tennyson, his cousin Gwen, and Grandpa Max back to life on a new summer vacation journey. As in the original, the stories in the remake of the series also spin around an alien wristwatch called "the Omnitrix," with the help of Ben can turn into ten different aliens, which come up with different supernatural powers.
