فیلم برگرفته از رمان سردترین شهر، به قلم آنتونی جانستون است که داستان آن حول محور جاسوسی می‌باشد که موظف به پیدا کردن لیستی از مأموران دوجانبه است که در حال قاچاق به غرب می‌باشند.
