Wallacen ja Gromitin kotikylässä eletään odotuksen aikaa. Asukkaat jännittävät sydän pamppaillen kenen rakkaudella kasvattama vihannes voittaa vuotuisen kilpailun himotusta jättivihanneksen tittelistä. Kilpailijat uskovat vihannestensa turvatoimet biodynaamisen parivaljakon, Wallacen ja Gromitin järjestettäväksi. Tarkoin vaalitut ja rakastetut vihannekset alkavat kuitenkin kadota kasvihuoneista ja puutarhoista huolimatta sankareiden mahtavasta maineesta ja mielettömistä metodeista. Paniikki leviää kaupunkiin ja huhujen levitessä hurjasta kasvissyöjähirviöstä on sankarikaksikon ylitettävä omat kykynsä ja kyläläisten odotukset pysäyttääkseen varkaudet ja saadakseen tämän vegaanien valtiaan lopullisesti telkien taakse.

Petteri Kaniini, kujeileva ja seikkailuja rakastava sankari, joka on vanginnut lukijoiden mielikuvitukset jo sukupolvien ajan, pääsee nyt pääosaan omassa riehakkaassa, tähän päivään tuodussa komediassaan, jossa on asennetta. Elokuvassa Petterin kisailu herra Vänskän (Domhnall Gleeson) kanssa paisuu uusiin mittoihin heidän kamppaillessaan lähistöllä asuvan sydämellisen ja eläinrakkaan neitosen (Rose Byrne) suosiosta.

Loppujen lopuksi päivästä tulee hyvin kiireinen nallelle, jonka oli tarkoitus vain käydä hakemassa vähän hunajaa. A.A. Milnen kirjojen viiden tarinan innoittamana ja Disneyn legendaarisella käsin piirretyllä tyylillä tehty uusi klassikko esittelee eräät maailman vaalituimmat hahmot upouudelle sukupolvelle. Tämä uusia lauluja pursuava ja ihastuttavan hassunkurinen elokuva täytyy nähdä.

Neiti Potter tarjosi kustantajille esikoisteostaan Petteri Kaniini huonolla menestyksellä. Warnerin veljekset tarttuivat kirjaan lähinnä tarjotakseen nuorimmaiselle veljeksistä ”ajankulua”. Norman Warner (Ewan McGregor) paneutui kuitenkin kirjan kustantamiseen huolella, ja vuonna 1902 julkaistusta Petteri Kaniinista tuli heti yleisön suosikki. Viktoriaanisessa Englannissa Beatrix Potter elää varsin epäsovinnaista, itsenäisen naisen elämää. Potterin elämään mahtuu kuitenkin niin rakkauden huumaa kuin tragediaakin.

Watership Down is an animated television series, loosely adapted from the novel of the same name by Richard Adams. It was a co-production of Alltime Entertainment of the United Kingdom and Decode Entertainment of Canada, and produced by Martin Rosen, the director of the 1978 feature film adaptation. Watership Down aired for 39 episodes and three series from 1999 to 2001, on both YTV in Canada and CITV in the UK, though the latter did not broadcast the third series. It starred several well-known British actors, including Stephen Fry, Rik Mayall, Phil Jupitus, Jane Horrocks, Dawn French, John Hurt, and Richard Briers, among others. Stephen Gately sang a new arrangement of Art Garfunkel's "Bright Eyes", which had been included in the 1978 feature film, while Mike Batt and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra contributed a completely new score. In 2003, composer Eric Robertson as well as David Greene and Mike Batt were nominated for a Gemini Award for Best Original Music Score for a Dramatic Series for their work on the show.
