Avainsana Symphony Orchestra

1700-luvun Ranskassa nuori taiteilija Marianne saa tehtäväkseen maalata nuoresta Héloïsesta muotokuvan – tämän tietämättä. Malliksi tarkoitettu Héloïse nimittäin kieltäytyy poseeraamasta taiteilijoille enteillen, että maalaus on tarkoitettu naimakauppoja avittamaan. Marianne esitelläänkin tälle seuraneitinä. Mariannen tehtäväksi jää Héloïsen piirteiden mieleen painaminen päivisin pitkien kävelyretkien aikana ja muotokuvan toteuttaminen salassa yön pimeinä tunteina. Päivä päivältä naiset lähentyvät, mutta Héloïsen häiden lähestyessä huumaava vapauden aika on auttamatta tulossa päätökseensä.

The NHK Symphony Orchestra leads Japan's classical music world. It held its first concert in 1927 and has since performed regularly for over 90 years. Jeppe Nygren takes over as deputy conductor of the Copenhagen Symphony Orchestra and is warmly welcomed by his new conductor, who speaks candidly about the musicians' peculiarities and olates. The conflict-ridden Jeppe quickly gets an example of these olates and happens to give the embittered second clarinetist Bo with a cursed promise of a solo part. But it has far-reaching consequences.
