Le récit de Sword of the Stranger se déroule dans le Japon de l'ère "Sengoku", en pleine période de guerres civiles. Un rônin sans nom sauve un jeune orphelin, Kotarô, et son chien Tobimaru, lors d'un incendie. Pendant ce temps, une mystérieuse milice venue de Chine recherche Kotarô dans le but de l'utiliser pour accomplir un rituel occulte procurant la vie éternelle. Parmi eux se trouve Luo-Lang, un bretteur émérite assoiffé de combats aux ordres du seigneur de guerre Bai-Luan. Kotarô engage alors le rônin sans nom comme garde du corps en échange d'une pierre précieuse qu'un moine lui a donné, et ils décident de faire route ensemble. A partir de cet instant, leurs destins vont être inexorablement liés. Débute alors une émouvante histoire d'amitié entre deux individus ayant connu de nombreuses tragédies dans leurs vies personnelles : un samouraï sans maître et sans nom qui a juré de ne jamais retoucher à un sabre, et un jeune garçon qui a perdu ses parents.

Une vieille femme et sa bru survivent en assassinant et depouillant les soldats qui s'aventurent dans les marais environnants.

Chiyoko Fujiwara est une ancienne gloire du cinéma japonais. Aujourd'hui, âgée de 70 ans, elle vit recluse chez elle. Un jour, un homme vient lui rendre visite pour l'interviewer sur son passé. Il lui remet une clé, que Chiyoko avait perdu voilà 30 ans. Devant le journaliste et son caméraman elle se met à raconter son histoire. Une vie pleine d'amour et de passion, passée à rechercher un étrange inconnu, celui-là même qui lui a un jour remis cette clé en lui faisant la promesse de se revoir…

Dans le Japon féodal, au cours d'une guerre sanglante entre clans, deux paysans lâches et cupides, soldats d'une armée vaincue, tombent sur un homme mystérieux qui les guide vers une forteresse cachée dans les montagnes.

Dans le Japon féodal, alors que les guerres civiles font rage, les généraux Washizu et Miki rentrent victorieux chez leur seigneur Tsuzuki. Ils traversent une mystérieuse forêt où ils rencontrent un esprit qui leur annonce leur destinée : Washizu deviendra seigneur du château de l’Araignée, mais ce sera le fils de Miki qui lui succèdera. Troublé par cette prophétie, Washizu se confie à sa femme, Asaji. Celle-ci lui conseille alors de forcer le destin en assassinant Tsuzuki…

Le 21 octobre 1600, la bataille de Sekigahara marque la fin de l'ère Sengoku. Elle a lieu entre l'armée occidentale, dirigée par Mitsunari Ishida, et l'armée de l'Est, menée par Ieyasu Tokugawa. Ce dernier tente avec avidité de garder la main sur la nation. Bien que plus nombreuse, l'armée de l'Ouest subit des pertes sur le champ de bataille. Hatsume a été envoyée pour espionner Mitsunari Ishida mais tombe amoureuse de lui.

À la fin du XVIe siècle, sur les rives du lac Biwa, les guerres féodales font rage. Le potier d’un village, Genjuro, et son beau-frère Tobei décident de rejoindre la ville, l’un rêvant de faire fortune, l’autre de devenir samouraï. Sur un marché, Genjuro rencontre la princesse Wakasa qui s’émerveille devant ses créations. Elle l’invite dans son château : ils deviennent rapidement amants, jusqu’au jour où Genjuro découvre que la princesse est un fantôme…

En 1573, le Japon est le théâtre de guerres incessantes entre clans rivaux. Le plus puissant de ces clans est commandé par Shingen Takeda. Au cours du siège du château de Noda, Takeda est blessé à mort par un tireur embusqué. Pour éviter que son clan perde de sa cohésion dans des luttes intestines, Shingen demande que sa mort reste cachée pendant trois ans. Un ancien voleur, épargné pour sa ressemblance avec le seigneur de la guerre, fait alors office de doublure avec la complicité des généraux, afin de duper leurs nombreux ennemis à l'affût.

Adaptation de l'ouvrage éponyme de Kitano Takeshi (2019). D'après l'incident réel de Honno-ji, dans lequel le célèbre seigneur de guerre Oda Nobunaga a été assassiné dans un temple de Kyoto en 1582. Avant l'assassinat, Shinzaemon capture Araki Murashige, un général accusé de déloyauté. L'intrigue tourne autour du sort de Murashige, dont Nobunaga veut briser le cou.

Une troupe de militaires réalise des manœuvres et se retrouve entraînée vers un glissement dans le temps suite à une déformation de l'espace temps... Cette armée équipée de jeeps, d'un char, d'un hélicoptère et d'un patrouilleur, atterrit 400 ans en arrière, dans le Japon féodal du XVIe siècle...

Un accident dans les essais d’un bouclier magnétique révolutionnaire précipite une unité de l’armée japonaise, 460 ans dans le passé, à l’époque où les seigneurs de la guerre se partageaient le pays. Conscient de l’immense pouvoir que lui donnent hélicoptères de combat et blindés, le colonel Matoba prend le contrôle de la région. Envoyée au cours de la faille dans l’espace-temps, une autre unité de l’armée arrive en 1549. Sa mission : empêcher que Matoba détourne le cours de l’histoire…

Ces deux anciens vassaux de Toyotomi Hideyoshi, au but radicalement opposé, vont mettre en branle une fois encore les différents seigneurs de guerre pour cet ultime combat. Mais une menace, bien plus terrible se prépare dans l'ombre…

Oda Nobunaga et Nohime se sont mariés pour apaiser les relations hostiles entre deux régions voisines. Malheureusement, étant comme l'huile et l'eau, le mariage n'est pas heureux. Lorsque l'ennemi d'Oda, Imagawa Yoshimoto, attaque Owari avec sa vaste armée, Oda est dévasté par l'écart écrasant entre les forces militaires. Cependant, Nohime l'encourage à ne pas désespérer et le couple élabore un plan tactique qui leur permettra de surmonter les difficultés.

The drama series depicts the life of Tokugawa Ieyasu (January 31, 1543 – June 1, 1616). Takechiyo (who later becomes Tokugawa Ieyasu) was born as the son of a poor and powerless daimyo. Takechiyo lost his father during a war. He grew up lonely and away from his mother. Takechiyo didn't have a clue about what his future would hold. He then has a dramatic meeting with the young Oda Nobunaga.

The story chronicles the life of Tokugawa Ieyasu.

The anime centers on a young female ninja named Chidori, whose dream is to help the Warring States-era warlord Oda Nobunaga to achieve his goals.

Fūrin Kazan was the 46th NHK Taiga drama beginning on January 7, 2007. It was aired throughout 2007. The four characters from left to right are wind, woods, fire, and mountain. The title is a reference to the war banner used by Takeda Shingen, which in turn was taken from Sun Tzu's The Art of War. It means "Swift as the Wind, Silent as a Forest, Fierce as Fire and Immovable as a Mountain."

Broadcast TV drama NHK broadcast on January 4 to December 13, 1987 (Showa 62). In the questionnaire survey conducted by NHK, it is shining in the most favorite river drama. The original is Yamaka Sosaichi's novel "Date Masamune", the biggest drama on the theme of the Date house was the first time in 17 years since the "Shinnogi remained" (1970), which painted Datejo in the Edo period. It depicts the life of Matsudo Date of Sengoku warrior · Date Masamune who built the foundation of Sendai clan 620,000 stones in his generation as a result of my own wisdom and talent.

The drama describes the age of the civil war through the eyes of Princess Go, who plays a significant part in establishing the age of peace that lasts over 200 years in Japan.

During the Sengoku period, there are many factions constantly at war. One of these is led by a one-eyed man named Date Masamune and another by the imposing Takeda Shingen. The latter has a fiercely loyal subordinate named Sanada Yukimura who goes head to head against Date Masamune multiple times, but the battles between them tend to get interrupted. One such battle occurs when both men try to go after another leader named Imagawa, and they’re forced to break off their heated duel when Imagawa attempts to flee the scene with his body doubles. Yukimura and Masamune go after separate Imagawas, but all of the doubles are killed by a third party, and when their paths cross again, they are in front of the menacing Oda Nobunaga and his army. It was Nobunaga’s subordinates that killed those body doubles, and Nobunaga himself proceeds to kill the real Imagawa with a shotgun blast to the head.

After the Onin War, the world is plunged into chaos. Amid this situation, heroes of the warring states begin to emerge in an attempt to unify the country and rule in these turbulent times. In the mid-1540s, there is a young wandering samurai in Mino which is strategically located between the East and West. His name is Akechi Mitsuhide. At this time, there is plenty of internal strife within the Toki clan which rules Mino. Surrounded by the Oda of Owari, the Imagawa of Suruga and the Asakura of Echizen, Mino has constantly faced the risk of invasion. Mitsuhide is pulled into battle and destroys the enemy. His bravery as well as stratagem catches the attention of Saito Toshimasa, the chief retainer of the Toki clan, and he is singled out. This man who is also known as Saito Dosan will go on to takeover the Toki and make Mino his own.

The 36th NHK Taiga Drama is Mori Motonari. This series chronicles the life of Mori Motonari, a warlord of the early 1500s who stood at the vanguard of the Warring States era. All Japanese school textbooks contain the Mitsuya no kyokun, Mori's famous lesson to his three sons that teaches that while one arrow is easily broken, three arrows together cannot be broken. In 1997, 500 years after his birth, NHK dramatizes Motonari's rise from a chief of the region of Aki (now Hiroshima) to a daimyo who rules over ten provinces of the Chugoku region. Motonari was 64 years old and already the patriarch of a powerful dynasty about the time Oda Nobunaga and Takeda Shingen appeared on the scene. And even after his death, the Mori family figured prominently in Japanese history. His grandson Terumoto became a loyal Toyotomi vassal. Defeated at the Battle of Sekigahara, Ieyasu confiscated most of his lands, leaving him only with Suwo and Nagato, later known as Choshu. But 260 years later, the Mori got their ultimate revenge, leading the imperial forces against the Tokugawa in the Meiji Restoration.

Orphaned when he was not yet ten, Musashi grows up skilled in the martial arts. During the Battle of Sekigahara, he fights on the side of the losing Toyotomi forces, but eludes the enemy as they hunt down the vanquished soldiers. He then spends years wandering the countryside mastering the sword. As his fame spreads throughout the nation, men seek him out to test their skills against him--most notably Sasaki Kojiro who faces Musashi in the ultimate duel at Ganryujima.

Brave 10 is a manga series by Kairi Shimotsuki, serialized in Media Factory's Comic Flapper from 2007 to 2010. The series was resumed on June 15, 2011 and retitled Brave 10 Spiral, better known as Brave 10 S, serialized in Monthly Comic Gene. An anime adaptation by Studio Sakimakura and TMS Entertainment began airing on January 8, 2012. The original manga series is licensed by Tokyopop, though no volumes have been released as of 2012. The series is based on the legendary Sanada Ten Braves, a group of ninja that assisted warlord Sanada Yukimura during the Sengoku period of Japan. The series had been licensed for streaming on Crunchyroll.

Saburo is a high school student good in sports, but not very good with his studies. One day, Saburo travels back in time and arrives in the Sengoku period of 1549. There, Saburo meets Nobunaga Oda who looks and sounds just like Saburo. Nobunaga Oda is the son of a warlord and magistrate of the lower Owari Province. Nobunaga Oda, though, is physically weak, and he asks Saburo to take his place. Then, Saburo as Nobunaga Oda attempts to unify the country of Japan.
