Mike O'Donnell, un homme de 37 ans, trouve sa vie ennuyeuse et pathétique. Il se sépare de sa femme et vit avec son meilleur ami. Ses enfants le considèrent comme un looser. « Si seulement on avait droit à une seconde chance ? ». Et il ne croyait pas si bien dire ! Son vœu va être exaucé. Le lendemain matin, Mike découvre qu'il a à nouveau 17 ans ! Bien décidé à réparer ses erreurs personnelles, il s'inscrit au lycée pour aider ses enfants. Mike s'aperçoit vite que sa fille est beaucoup moins sage qu'elle ne parait et que son fils, Alex, est le bouc-émissaire de l'athlète de l'école. Son adolescence était bien différente de celle d'aujourd'hui !

Hinata découvre rapidement qu’il doit faire équipe avec son rival, Tobio Kageyama. Tous deux partagent intégrité, sens de l'honneur et une solide éthique de travail. Bien qu'ayant des origines radicalement différentes, ils parviennent à transformer un groupe de jeunes gens haineux, divisés et incapables de se concentrer en une équipe soudée, volontaire et dynamique. Au-delà des matches et des victoires, ce sont les préjugés et l'intolérance que les deux hommes combattent.

L'equipe est contrainte de le remplacer par un joueur de niveau inferieur, Jonathan Moxon. Plus intellectuel et sensiblement moins motive que ses camarades, Mox se heurte a l'inflexible entraineur Kilmer qui lui reproche son indiscipline et sa desinvolture a l'approche d'une rencontre decisive pour l'equipe.

Evening Shade is an American sitcom television series that aired on CBS from 1990 to 1994. The series stars Burt Reynolds as Wood Newton, an ex-professional football player for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who returns to rural Evening Shade, Arkansas to coach a high school football team with a long losing streak. Reynolds personally requested to use the Steelers as his former team because he is a fan. The general theme of the show is the appeal of small town life. Minami joins her High School baseball team as a team manager after finding out that her best friend Yuuki is in the hospital and can't be a team manager any more. In order to try to fill in for Yuuki and to help out the team the best she can, she goes out to find a book on how to manage a baseball team. Unfortunately, she accidentally buys Peter Drucker's book called "Management: Tasks, Responsibilities, Practices" which is actually about how to properly manage a business. Because she couldn't return the book, she decides to read it anyway and to try to apply the business management concepts to the baseball team so that way they can go on and win the Nationals.
