סרט מסע מצוייר בנבכי התודעה של הבמאי והתסריטאי ארי פולמן, המנסה להתחקות אחר שלושה ימים במלחמת לבנון הראשונה שנמחקו מזיכרונו מבלי להשאיר עקבות. מה שמתחיל ב-26 כלבים משוגעים שרצים בהתקף זעם ברחוב רוטשילד בתל אביב, נמשך במפגשים חטופים עם חבר ילדות בהולנד המושלגת, תופס תפנית פסיכדלית במועדונים של חיפה מתחילת שנות ה-80', והולך ומתביית בביירות הסוראליסטית של ימי המלחמה. הזיכרון האנושי מתעתע, ורק ציורים חופשיים בשילוב עם אנימציה מופלאה יכולים, אולי, לשים יד מכוונת על אותם ימים חסרים מהעבר הרחוק.

סוהא, בחורה ערביה צעירה ונאה, עוברת במחסום ישראלי בדרכה לשכם. סוהא נולדה בצרפת, גדלה במרוקו במשפחה מבוססת, והיא מנהלת מערכת יחסים עם סעיד, בחור פלשתינאי שגדל במחנה פליטים. סעיד עובד במוסך קטן עם חאלד, חבר מילדות, והשניים מעבירים אחר צהריים שקט, שותים תה ומעשנים נרגילה על גבעה שמשקיפה על שכם. השלווה שלהם מופרת על ידי ג'מאל. ג'מאל נשלח להודיע להם שהם נבחרו על ידי הארגון לבצע פיגוע התאבדות בתל אביב בתגובה להריגת שני ערבים.

ספור על שתי נשים בודדות משני עברי הגבול הירוק וכל מה שנוצר ולא נוצר ביניהן. מזרחית לקו הירוק נמצאת סלמא, בעלת פרדס לימונים שבעלה מת מזמן וילדיה התפזרו בין עזה, רמאללה ווושינגטון...ובצד מערב נמצאת מירה נבון, אשתו של השר לבטחון פנים ישראל נבון, אשה בודדה לא פחות שמתגעגעת לבתה שלומדת בחו"ל ומנסה להתרגל לעובדה שבעלה נמצא פחות ופחות בקרבתה. פרדס הלימונים הופך להיות מוקד משותף לשתיהן מכיוון שרשויות הבטחון חוששים שהוא מהווה סכנה לחיי השר ורוצים לכרות חלק מהעצים. סלמא, בצעד מפתיע, לוקחת עורך דין ויוצאת למאבק משפטי שחיש קל הופך לספור קצת הזוי, קצת קומי ומאוד אמיתי בכל הקשור להגיון וחוסר ההגיון ששולט במחוזות המזרח התיכון.

רוברט מיצ'ם מגלם את דמותו של שגריר ארה"ב בישראל המנסה להביא קץ לסכסוך במזרח התיכון תוך כדי שימוש בשיטות לא שגרתיות. נסיונותיו השונים לפתור את השאלה הפלסטינית, גוררים ביקורת שנמתחת נגדו על ידי כל הפלגים המעורבים. פעילותו של השגריר השנוי במחלוקת מקבלת תפנית כאשר אשתו מתחילה לנהל רומן עם בכיר באש"ף. רוק הדסון (בתפקיד הקולנועי האחרון שלו) מגלם את קצין הביטחון הראשי של השגריר שמציל את חייו ומנסה לעזור לו לפתור את הסכסוכים סביבם. בסרט משתתפים גם שחקנים ישראלים רבים, ביניהם ניתן לראות את אורי גבריאל, צחי נוי, חלי גולדנברג, יוסף שילוח, שמוליק קראוס, יפתח קצור, ששון גבאי ועוד. ביים: ג'יי לי תומפסון (פסגת הפחד, תותחי נברון).

"הזמן שנותר" הוא סרט אוטוביוגרפי למחצה, הנפרס על פני ארבע תקופות היסטוריות ומוקדש למשפחה - משפחתי שלי - משנת 1948 ועד לתקופתנו. הסרט נוצר בהשראת יומניו האישיים של אבי, שתיעד את קורותיו החל מהימים בהם היה פעיל במאבק הפלסטיני של 1948, ובהשראת מכתבי אמי לבני המשפחה אשר גורשו בכוח מהארץ ואינם יכולים לשוב אליה מאז.
