Na putu prema njihovoj novoj kući na selu, mlada Chihiro i njeni roditelji nailaze na tunel koji vodi u čudan napušteni grad. Roditelji otkrivaju restoran pun primamljive hrane i odmah se bace na jelo dok djevojčica nastavlja istraživati. No kad padne noć grad postaje pun duhova i goblina. Chihiro nalazi svoje roditelje pretvorene u svinje, a put nazad je nemoguć. Ona mora pronaći način kako da roditelje ponovno pretvori u ljude i izbavi se iz začaranog grada.

They soon learn that friendship and loyalty are the only things they can rely on in the crumbling Cephiro.
