Kulcsszó Headmaster

A háború után felvirágzó "fekete film" méltán világhíres klasszikusa ez a krimi-adaptáció, amely az ötvenes években játszódik egy francia kisváros sivár iskolájában. Michel, az igazgató zsarnok-szadista szigorral uralkodik a diákokon, a tanári karon és szívbeteg feleségén, Christinán, akié az iskola. Az elgyötört nejnek talpraesett kolléganője, Nicole segít megvalósítani a lassan megérlelődő gyilkos gondolatot. De a sokkolóan bemutatott gyilkosság csak kezdete ennek az izgalmakban bővelkedő, fordulatos és mesterien feszült filmnek.

Egy fiatal fiú teljesen hatása alá kerül elhunyt nagyanyja személyének, emiatt pedig egy elszigetelt bentlakásos iskolába küldik, amit egy titokzatos igazgató és felesége tartanak fenn.

Mr. Chipping 1870-ben egy angol "public school" lelkes pedagógusaként lát munkához. A félénk, ám jóképű férfi kezdetben a gyerekek vicceinek fő céltáblája. Magába zárkózik, de egy tanártársa magával viszi az Alpokba. Ott megismerkedik a szép Kathie-vel, aki a rajnai hajókázás során és a Bécsben táncolt valcerrel magába bolondítja a férfit. A nő feloldja Chipping gátlásait, vasárnapi teadélutánokat ad a diákoknak. A boldogságnak az asszony halála vet véget. Belehal a szülésbe. Chipping lassan megöregszik, és konfliktusba kerül az új igazgatóval, aki a modern szellemet erősítené az iskolában, s szemében Chipping a múlt embere.

Hector szálka az iskola konzervatív igazgatójának a szemében, a diákok viszont rajonganak érte. A munkásnegyedből származó tanítványait az Oxford és a Cambridge egyetem felvételijére készíti fel szokatlan módszerekkel, ami az elitnél is kicsapja a biztosítékot. A kérdés az, hogy a nevelés csupán eszköz a cél elérésére, vagy a személyiségfejlődés szempontjából fontos, milyen oktatóktól kapják a diákok az útravalót. Miközben Hectort az elbocsátás réme fenyegeti, a srácok elhatározzák, hogy megvalósítják álmaikat és igazolják kedvenc tanáruk módszereit.

A Folytassa...-sorozat bohókás szereplőgárdáját nem kell bemutatni Magyarországon. A brit humor "zászlóshajójának" számító széria sikerdarabjai számtalan felújításban mentek nálunk moziban, tévében egyaránt. Most néhány héten keresztül a korai filmekből összeállított válogatással kedveskedünk a nézőknek...

GBH was a seven-part British television drama written by Alan Bleasdale shown in the summer of 1991 on Channel 4. The protagonists were Michael Murray, the Militant tendency-supporting Labour leader of a city council in the North of England and Jim Nelson, the headmaster of a school for disturbed children. The series was controversial partly because Murray appeared to be based on Derek Hatton, former Deputy Leader of Liverpool City Council — in an interview in the G.B.H. DVD Bleasdale recounts an accidental meeting with Hatton before the series, who indicates that he has caught wind of Bleasdale's intentions but does not mind as long as the actor playing him is "handsome". In normal parlance, the initials "GBH" refer to the criminal charge of grievous bodily harm - however, the actual intent of the letters is that it is supposed to stand for Great British Holiday.

Headmaster is an American half-hour television comedy-drama starring Andy Griffith and broadcast by CBS in the United States during the 1970-71 season. Headmaster marked the return to series television of Griffith, whose previous eponymous show had been one of CBS's major hits of the 1960s prior to his voluntary departure and a program which was still in production, when Headmaster was launched. With Headmaster, Griffith fulfilled his desire to be cast in a television series as something other than a rural bumpkin dispensing folksy wisdom; here his character, Andy Thompson, was the headmaster of a prestigious Californian private school, the Concord School. His wife, Margaret, was an English teacher; his best friend was the school's main athletic coach, Jerry Brownell. Mr. Purdy was the school's caretaker. Despite being aired in the Friday night 8:30 Eastern time slot vacated by the popular Hogan's Heroes, a theme song sung by Linda Ronstadt, and featuring arguably the biggest CBS star of the 1960s, Headmaster did not prove to be popular and was routinely beaten in the Nielsen ratings by both The Partridge Family on ABC and The Name of the Game on NBC. When this pattern became apparent, production of Headmaster was terminated, with the last first-run episode being broadcast January 1, 1971, and the program replaced by a new situation comedy starring Griffith, The New Andy Griffith Show. This replacement program met with little more success than Headmaster, and was last broadcast on May 21, 1971. In June 1971, Headmaster returned to the time slot in reruns, with the last repeat episode being aired on September 10, 1971.

Class 7A are on a school trip in Gotland. Class supervisor Gia believes a restless soul is haunting the house they're staying in.
