Un marziano, mandato sulla Terra per studiare usi e costumi, è ospitato da un giornalista e s'innamora di sua figlia. La pièce (1957) di Gore Vidal è trasposta da Taurog in modo meccanico. Solo Lewis riesce a farla funzionare offrendo qualche momento di comicità irresistibile.
