「きらきらひかる」などで知られる漫画家・郷田マモラの同名コミックを原作に、娘に関心のなかった父親と、父親を忘れてしまった娘を描いた人間ドラマ。 イラストレーターの和真は、妻・小百合と3歳の娘・ひなと暮らしている。ある夜、買い物に出た小百合が事故に遭い入院してしまう。接待で飲んでいた和真は朝まで居酒屋で眠り込んでおり、翌朝1人で目を覚ましたひなは児童養護施設に引き取られることに。これまで子育てに関わってこなかった和真は、ひなを自宅へ連れて帰ることを許されなかった。小百合の意識が戻らないまま時間だけが過ぎ自暴自棄になる和真だったが、やがて自分を見守ってくれる人たちの存在に気づき、娘との絆を取り戻すことを決意する。 「仮面ライダービルド」シリーズの武田航平が主演を務め、テレビドラマ「作りたい女と食べたい女」の中田博之監督が長編初メガホンをとった。
