母親を猟師に殺され、ふくろうのビッグママの計らいによって心優しいトゥード未亡人の家で育てられることになった子ぎつねトッド。ある日、トッドは、近くに住む猟師の家で猟犬の子コッパーに出会い、すぐに仲良しになる。だが、成長したトッドは野生に返されることになり、一方のコッパーも一人前の猟犬として訓練を受けることになった。やがて2匹は森の中で再会を果たすが、もはや彼らは敵同士となっていた。

The Animals of Farthing Wood is an animated series created by the European Broadcasting Union between 1992 and 1995 and based on the series of books written by Colin Dann.
