„Šindlerio sąrašas“ – tai tikrais faktais paremta Steveno Spielbergo epinė drama apie holokaustą Antrojo pasaulinio karo metais ir žmogų, kuris netikėtai tapo žydų gelbėtoju. Neatgailaujančiam mergišiui, sugebančiam pelnytis iš karo, Oskarui Šindleriui dirbo tik Lenkijos žydai, ši pigi darbo jėga gamino virtuvinius įrankius Trečiajam reichui. Berlin, Germany, 1935. The day Karl Weiss, a Jewish painter, and Inga Helms, a Christian woman, marry, is the one in which both of them and the entire Weiss family are caught up in the maelstrom of the Nazi regime, the storms of World War II and the horrors of the criminal Final Solution, the Holocaust, the Shoah; while Erik Dorf, an ambitious lawyer, undertakes his fall into hell at the hands of the sinister Reinhard Heydrich.

SS-Lieutenant Colonel Helmut Von Schreader conceives an unusual plan to escape the aftermath of the Second World War by disguising himself as a Jewish Concentration Camp victim. Under the alias of Ben Grossman, Von Schreader is liberated from the camps and immigrates to Palestine where he joins the Zionist movement. Twenty five years later, living as a hero of Israel and a General in the Israeli Army, the underground SS organization ODESSA locates Von Schreader and orders to him to again serve the cause of the Third Reich.

The SS was the Nazi state’s instrument of domination and oppression, responsible for the intelligence services and the police. The SS committed a horrific range of atrocities, including the Holocaust, the persecution of political opponents, and brutal war crimes. Millions of people were victims of the Schutzstaffel, and many of the perpetrators were unrepentant to the end. This six-part documentary provides a comprehensive overview of the SS, describing how a small group of thugs rose to become the most feared organ in the Nazi state. With the help of international experts, the film examines common myths about the organisation. Interviews with eyewitnesses and unapologetic perpetrators take us closer to the psyche of the SS supporters in an attempt to make the inconceivable comprehensible.
