Anglija, 1959. gads. Nelielā, konservatīvā Anglijas piekrastes pilsētiņā brīdvomātāja Florensa ir nolēmusi atvērt grāmatu veikaliņu. Modinot sabiedrību ar jaunāko grāmatu tirdzniecību, starp kurām ir arī Vladimira Nabokova “Lolita”, viņai nākas sastapties gan ar pretestību no vietējās sabiedrības, gan atbalstu no īsteniem grāmatu mīlētājiem. Nākas uzdot jautājumu – vai grāmatu veikals ir vajadzīgs pilsētiņā, kurā to šķietami neviens neatbalsta. Taču pilsēta ir pamodusies, un tracis ap grāmatu veikalu uzņem apgriezienus.

Tamako is just a normal young girl whose family has been making mochi for generations. As her birthday approaches, she happens to meet a talking bird who claims to be a royal court attendant looking for a bride for his master. After the encounter, Dera the bird decides to stay around her and becomes a part of Tamako's life and the neighborhood that she lives in.

Time has passed peacefully for Sakamoto since he left the underworld. He's running a neighborhood store with his lovely wife and child and has gotten a bit... out of shape. But one day a figure from his past pays him a visit with an offer he can't refuse: return to the assassin world or die!
