December of 1941, Northwestern Front. A German tank column is moving towards Moscow. During a mission to stop the enemy advance, Nikolai Komlev's IL-2 is shot down. The main character Rita is kind and sweet young woman, who can’t say “no” and is ready to help anyone who asks, and therefore is constantly being used by her family and friends. Her sister Olga is pursuing a career, leaving her children to Rita; her love interest Vlad uses her by borrowing money and never giving it back, and also by getting Rita to do his work; Rita’s mother Nina is thinking only about her questionable business. Rita herself, while being a talented inventor of modern gadgets, is a freelance employee at an advertising company, where Olga is a creative director. Olga gets fame for all Rita’s inventions. One day, everything changes.

Tatiana makes her escape from prison and seeks a hideout in a remote village of Pavlovka, in her late grandmother’s house. Meanwhile, Vera’s company is suddenly and inexplicably on the verge of bankruptcy, and when Vera witnesses Anton meeting with the manager of a rival company and giving him a package, she assumes he has betrayed her and throws him out. Imagine her astonishment, when she discovers that the informant is actually the wife of her company’s president, who has been leaking information to her lover, who works for a competitor.
