John Sullivan pakt op een dag de oude radio van zijn vader en gaat er een beetje mee spelen. Ineens krijgt ie contact met zijn overleden vader, die dertig jaar terug leeft. John weet op deze manier het leven van zijn vader, die omgekomen is bij een brand, te redden.

De Britse geheime dienst verdenkt Max Zorin van het stelen van de chip. James Bond wordt gestuurd om het uit te zoeken. Hij ontdekt dat Zorin vele chips produceert en een duivels plan heeft bedacht om de totale chipproductie in handen te krijgen.

'Playing with Fire' volgt een groepje, forsgebouwde brandweerlieden. Ze weten een drietal weeskinderen te redden. Wanneer de kinderen erachter komen dat de sociale dienst hen individueel naar een ander pleeggezin wil sturen, doen ze er alles aan om bij elkaar te blijven.
