Vier Britse kinderen worden naar het buitenhuis van een professor gestuurd, waar ze veilig zullen zijn tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Het land wordt overheerst door een slechte heks, en om haar te kunnen verslaan, moeten de kinderen leeuwenkoning Aslan vergezellen.

Uit vrees voor een invasie van hun eigen land, wordt het buurland Slane Theocracy gedwongen hun vijanden, het Sorcerer Kingdom, om hulp te vragen. Op hun oproep reageert Momonga, nu bekend als Sorcerer King Ains Ooal Gown, en verzamelt het Sorcerer Kingdom en zijn ondode leger om samen met het Sacred Kingdom en de Slane Theocracy te vechten in de hoop de Demon Emperor te verslaan.
Nadat hij Mordred heeft verslagen, wordt Shadow een portaal ingezogen en bevindt hij zich in een post-apocalyptisch Japan, een paar jaar na de dood van Minoru Kageno, zijn vroegere zelf. Deze film is een bewerking van de 'Return to Earth'-Arc en volgt het tweede seizoen van The Eminence in Shadow.

Ze komen echter al snel tot het besef dat de onzinnige dreiging die ze ontvingen misschien wel meer was dan alleen een grap.
