Lucky Luke komt met zijn trouwe paard Jolly Jumper aan in het beruchte stadje Daisy Town. In het stadje gaat het gerucht dat de Daltons ontsnapt zijn. De sheriff vlucht en Lucky Luke wordt de nieuwe sheriff om het stadje te verdedigen tegen de Daltons.
