Handlingen i Stanley Kubricks kultklassiker er lagt til "The Overlook Hotel", hvor forfatterspiren Jack Torrance blir ansatt som vaktmester for å passe på hotellet over vinteren. Han blir fortalt at det er vanlig at hotellet snør inne i løpet av vinteren, så han og familien må regne med å være totalt isolert i flere måneder. Dette er akkurat hva Jack tror han trenger for å finne inspirasjon og ro til å skrive en ny bok. Sammen med sin kone og sitt barn drar han opp til hotellet like før vinterstengingen for å inntre i jobben. Men etterhvert som tiden går blir han hjemsøkt av fortidens spøkelser og drives etterhvert fullstendig fra vettet.

The story begins with Keita Suminoe, a male third-year junior-high school student studying for his high school entrance exams. He is living in a home with his older twin stepsisters, Ako and Riko, who share no blood relation to him, and they help him prepare for his exams. Even though he initially dislikes himself for it, he begins to become attracted to his two step-sisters, and his two parents encourage him to eventually get married to one of them.

Kaew and Chidchanok are twins who lived separate lives because of their uncle who wants to inherit their father's fortune. Kaew grew up in poverty with a cruel mother and sister, while Chidchanok lives with her father after they fled to France. Chidchanok decides to go back to Thailand to find her mother. Eventually the twins meet and try to help each other get away from their uncle, who wants to kill them.

Yukino and Kanade Sakurai live together as high school students enjoying their daily life; until one day Sakuya Kamiyama confess her love for Kanade to Yukino, asking for her support. This makes Yukino to release her true feelings for her sister.
