Woodsboro er siste stopp på bokturnèen, og hun får et gledelig gjensyn med Sheriff Dewey og Gale, som nå er gift. Hun treffer også sin kusine og sin tante Kate. Dessverre får hennes tilstedeværelse også SKRIK-morderen til å dukke opp, noe som setter Sidney, Gale, Dewey, Jill og hele Woodsboro i stor fare.

To brødre kidnapper en familie for å krysse grensen over til Mexico hvor de skal møte en businesskontakt ved en livlig bar som viser seg å være full av vampyrer så snart mørket senker seg.

Det er depresjon i Amerika, og dagdriverne Clyde Barrow (Warren Beatty) og Bonnie Parker (Faye Dunaway) havner på skråplanet – sammen. De er like ville etter farlige eventyr som etter hverandre, og legger ut på en reise som blir stadig mer preget av vold. Etter hvert går det opp for oss at også de to kan bli skadet – og vi frykter at de til og med kan bli drept. De to hovedrolleinnehaverne gir strålende prestasjoner og får solid skuespillerstøtte av Michael J. Pollard, Gene Hackman og Estelle Parsons. Sistnevnte vant en Oscar-pris for beste kvinnelige birolle i 1967. Regissør Arthur Penn sørger for at stemningen i filmen er røff, men ikke ondskapsfull. Filmen fortsetter å imponere publikum også i dag – spesielt på grunn av filmfotograf Burnett Guffeys (som skaffet filmen dens andre Oscar) og klipper Dede Allens innsats. Flere generasjoner etter at den ble laget er den fremdeles en forrykende og spennende opplevelse.

Though neither Griffith nor the show won awards during its eight-season run, series co-stars Knotts and Bavier accumulated a combined total of six Emmy Awards. The show, a semi-spin-off from an episode of The Danny Thomas Show titled "Danny Meets Andy Griffith", spawned its own spin-off series, Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., a sequel series, Mayberry R.F.D., and a reunion telemovie, Return to Mayberry. The show's enduring popularity has generated a good deal of show-related merchandise. Reruns currently air on TV Land, and the complete series is available on DVD. All eight seasons are also now available by streaming video services such as Netflix.
