Executor al agenției federale de aplicare a legii, Teddy Daniels ajunge împreună cu partenerul său Chuck pe mica insulă Shutter, unde se află un ospiciu pentru tratarea condamnaților cu tulburări mentale. Filmul aduce în fața telespectatorilor povestea doctorului Richard Kimble care, deși este complet nevinovat este arestat și condamnat pentru uciderea sângeroasă a soției sale. În timp ce Kimble este mutat din orașul său natal spre închisoarea din Chicago, autobuzul cu care este transferat este implicat într-un spectaculos accident, intrând în coliziune cu un tren. Supraviețuitor al acestui dezastru, Kimble evadează și pornește pe urmele celui pe care îl crede vinovat de moartea soției sale.

Sam este desemnat să escorteze un criminal foarte periculos la o închisoare de maximă securitate, în Misssouri. În acelaşi avion se află şi Mark Sheridan (Wesley Snipes) care este acuzat de FBI pentru două crime, deşi el susţine că este nevinovat. Avionul se prăbuşeşte, iar Sheridan reuşeşte să scape. Sam este informat de către superiorii săi că trebuie să-l prindă pe acesta cu orice preţ. Gerard porneşte în căutarea fugarului, alături de excentricul agent guvernamental John Royce (Robert Downey jr.). Curând, Gerard începe să se întrebe de ce este atât de important pentru guvern bietul Sheridan, în timp ce acesta din urmă vrea să dovedească, într-o cursă contracronometru, că nu este vinovat. Suspiciunile lui Sam sunt confirmate pe parcusul investigaţiei poliţiste, de existenţa unei posibile conspiraţii a guvernului în care John era implicat până peste cap.

Cimarron Strip is an American Western television series that aired on CBS from September 1967 to March 1968. Starring Stuart Whitman as Marshal Jim Crown, the series was produced by the creators of Gunsmoke. Reruns of the original show were aired in the summer of 1971. Cimarron Strip was one of only three 90-minute weekly Western series that aired during the 1960s, and the only 90-minute series of any kind to be centered primarily around one lead character. Cimarron Strip was set in the Oklahoma Panhandle, which comprises, east to west, Beaver, Texas, and Cimarron counties in Oklahoma. The show is set in 1888, just as the continuous frontier of the West, which once ran from the Canadian to the Mexican border, was closing. In less than five years there would no longer be that "continuous frontier," only pockets of undeveloped land. This was the late "Wild West" that Marshall Jim Crown was called to defend.

Outlaws is an NBC Western television series, starring Barton MacLane as U.S. marshal Frank Caine, who operated in a lawless section of Oklahoma Territory about Stillwater. The program aired 50 one-hour episodes from September 29, 1960, to May 10, 1962. The first season was shot in black-and-white, the second in color. Co-starring with MacLane in the 1960–1961 season was Don Collier as deputy marshal Will Foreman. In the second season, MacLane left the program, and Collier was promoted to full marshal, with Bruce Yarnell joining the cast as deputy marshal Chalk Breeson. In addition, John Anderson, Edgar Buchanan, Jackie Coogan, Bruce Gordon, Robert Harland, Robert Lansing Cloris Leachman, Robert Karnes, Brian Keith, Larry Pennell, Chris Robinson, William Shatner, Ray Walston, Jack Warden, and David Wayne each appeared twice in the series.

Law of the Plainsman is a Western television series starring Michael Ansara that aired on the NBC television network from October 1, 1959, until May 5, 1960. The character of Native American U.S. Marshal Sam Buckhart was introduced in two episodes of the popular ABC Western television series The Rifleman starring Chuck Connors as Lucas McCain. Law of the Plainsman is distinctive and unique in that it was one of the few television programs that featured a Native American as the lead character, a bold move for U.S.network television at that time. Ansara had earlier appeared in the series Broken Arrow, having portrayed the Apache chief, Cochise. Ansara, however, was not Native American but of Syrian descent. Ansara played Sam Buckhart, an Apache Indian who saved the life of a U.S. Cavalry officer after an Indian ambush. When the officer died, he left Sam money that was used for an education at private schools and Harvard University. After school, he returned to New Mexico where he became a Deputy Marshal working for Marshal Andy Morrison. He lived in a boarding house run by Martha Commager. The only other continuing character was 8-year old Tess Logan, an orphan who had been rescued by Buckhart. Robert Harland, later of Target: The Corruptors! starred in seven episodes as Deputy Billy Lordan. Wayne Rogers, who went on to star in another Four Star western, Stagecoach West, and later, M*A*S*H, also played deputy Lordan in several episodes.

Chase is an American police procedural drama television series created by Jennifer Johnson for the NBC network. The series follows a U.S. Marshals fugitive-apprehension team, based out of Houston, Texas. Jerry Bruckheimer and Johnson serve as executive producers for the one-hour drama. The series originally aired on Mondays at 10:00 pm ET/9:00 pm CT and premiered on September 20, 2010. After the mid-season break, Chase returned on Wednesdays at 9:00 pm ET/8:00 pm CT On October 19, 2010, the network ordered a full season consisting of 22 episodes, but this order was cut to 18 in December. On February 3, 2011, the show was put on "a hiatus" with no plan regarding the remaining episodes. On April 6, 2011, NBC announced the remaining five episodes would be broadcast on Saturday nights beginning on April 23, 2011. Later the show was replaced by Harry's Law.
