War in Abkhazia, 1992. An Estonian man Ivo has stayed behind to harvest his crops of tangerines. In a bloody conflict at his door, a wounded man is left behind, and Ivo is forced to take him in.

Rachvelians, notables with their slowness tell awkward, partly unbelievable and very funny anecdotes they have gone through, while their countryman participates in long-distance race.

The director dedicated this lyrical, epic film-confession to the memory of his father who was a doctor. The film’s protagonist, an ambulance doctor, conducts dangerous experiments in search of a vitally important vaccine. His wife believes in his work, though his daughter would not understand him. His son, who is absolutely unlike his father in character, is trying to protect him. But self-denial in the name of science proves too high a price. Just when he is on the verge of discovery, the doctor loses everything he has gathered as a result of his twenty-year-long work. This loss brings him even closer to his son. The shooting of the film continued for seven years (1985-1992), making it a metaphorical culmination of the Soviet cinematography and the Soviet way of life as a whole.

Eka and Natia leave their childhood behind and ignore societal customs to escape from their turbulent family lives.

It’s about a 13th-century Georgian legendary avenger, the noble robber Matsi Khvitia, who bravely fought against the princes’ arbitrary rule.

In the mountain village comes a group of young musicians in Tbilisi. Here they are going to relax and rehearse. Sad story about the final rupture occurred, the peasants do not sing beautiful old songs, the musicians play music incomprehensible to them ... Far from the idyllic image of rural life.

Nunu and Iago are in love with each other. The married guard Girgola wants to get hold of the woman. Girgola gets Iago arrested and makes Nunu marry his retarded brother. On one occasion he finds the woman alone and rapes her. Nunu jumps in the river to commit suicide but gets saved by Iago’s friends. Iago escapes from jail, but Girgola attacks his hideout and haves him killed together with his friends. Girgola also kills Nunu’s old father and accuses Nunu of the murder. Nunu is tied to a pole and dies in the exile.

This Georgian drama seeks to renew and reinforce a sense of cultural and national identity as it examines a tragic event in the idyllic life of an aristocratic Georgian family. Much of the film focuses upon their happy and peaceful life of this family comprised of a young couple and their baby daughter Keto. Their life changes when two drifters come in. Vakhtang is talented artist but family liabilities don't allow him to work seriously. His wife Eka takes advantage of husband's trip out of town and exchanges her flat for a house in a colorful old city and sets up the artist's studio.

For this he provides himself with a map of the places he would like to visit. His accidental co-traveler is Leko Tatasheli who is convinced that the composer is on a mission of the revolutionary committee and his map is the plan of a future uprising…

Gogia brings home a kvevri (georgian wine vessel) made in Imereti in Kakheti . Kvevri brought from a distance with a sledgehammer breaks carelessly. Gogia takes craftsman Abesalom home, who repairs the kvevri, but he himself will get stuck inside of it .

Two lovers – a young shepherd, Mzechabuka, and a peasant girl, Teona, - have endured all the trials falling to their lot and see the happy time when they can join their lives together.

A film crew arrives in mountainous Khevsureti region. Lali Mindeli, a famous pop singer and the film star who wants to know more about her character, walks around in traditional Khevsurian costume and rides horses. During the making of the film she meets Vakhtang, an engineer but instead of introducing herself as herself she tells him that she’s Mindeli’s twin sister Mzavinar. Vakhtang fells in love with the woman and is ready to move to Khevsureti. It makes Lali to realize that she’s playing a risky game with him.

The protagonist is a kind and brave boy who helps people fight evil. One day, a horseman arrived at the doorstep of an orphan’s house, asking for wine and oats for his horse. The house owner, unable to provide more than a dry flatbread, offered the horse hay instead of oats, which he used as bedding. The horseman was touched by the boy’s kindness and promised to reward him generously if he followed in his footsteps and helped others along the way.

Khareba Jibuti, Prince Kharashvili’s right hand man becomes an outlaw after he witnesses a series of injustices. After meeting another outlaw Gogia Kenkiashvili he joins his bunch in the forest. They cause lots of trouble for the local rich thus winning the hearts and minds of poor people. Nevertheless, when captain Akhvlediani opens the hunting season on two renowned outlaws he finds a much-needed man who is ready to show him their whereabouts.

A full-blooded, interesting life has long eluded the house where a mother, father, son and daughter live. Trivial household matters, conversation at dinner about duty — that's all that connects them. The situation changes when it becomes known that the family inherited the village house, and that it will probably be necessary to enter into a struggle with the joint heirs. Georgian and foreign alpinists make an effort to ascend a high mountain. The weather is inclement making their effort extremely perilous. Every step on the snow-covered trail is precarious. Professionalism, firmness and compassion have far more value than the physical ability.

A pretty young Azeri woman Giuli and Georgian guy Mitro are very in love. But because of traditions she can not marry him. Young people run away to get happy together, but without success.

The film is based on the fables of Sulkhan-Saba Orbelia

Prince Abesalom runs into an orphaned Eteri while hunting, falls for her and brings the woman to his palace as his fiancé. The Prince’s aid Murman loses his self-control at Eteri’s beauty and gives her a spelled necklace as a wedding gift. Eteri contracts a mysterious disease that only Murman is capable to heal.
