Paul, a Padre in the Foreign Legion, is immersed in the sufferings of war. One by one, he is solicited by the families of the dying and by tormented soldiers. Always present at the side of others, Paul also tries to comfort a person who is dear to him: his mother.

Lucie, a young French woman passionate about perfume, sets out on a research trip abroad. Her tragic destiny crosses paths with Younes, a penniless taxi driver who delivers her into the hands of Islamist kidnappers, and with Abou, a jihadist also from France.

David, 20, makes robberies with his friends. One of their victim is a former soldier of the Algerian war. Fascinated and admiring, David is gradually getting closer to the old man: from their friendship will be born his new vocation.
