Sylvester Stallone กับหนังแนวชีวิตปนแอ๊คชั่นอีกครั้งครับ คราวนี้เขารับบทเป็นลินคอร์น ฮอว์ค สิงห์รถบรรทุกที่ต้องการจะผูกสัมพันธ์กับลูกที่ห่างเหินของเขา ไมเคิล คัตเลอร์ (David Mendenhall) ช่วงแรกก็ทุลักทุเลอยู่แต่ซักพักพ่อลูกก็เริ่มเข้าใจกัน แต่ทว่าเจสัน คัตเลอร์ (Robert Loggia) ตาของไมเคิลเกิดไม่เห็นดีด้วย เลยมีการลงมือขัดขวางทุกวิถีทางครับ เอาล่ะสิ แล้วมันจะเป็นอย่างไรต่อไปกันล่ะ

Jeffrey ที่ขับรถออกเดินทางไปยังรัฐ California พร้อมกับ Amy ผู้เป็นภรรยา โดยระหว่างทางนั้น รถเขาก็เกิดเสียขึ้นมา ท่ามกลางสถานที่อันแห้งแล้งและห่างไกลผู้คน ซึ่งก็ยังโชคดีที่มีคนขับรถผ่านมา และทางภรรยาของเขาก็ขอติดรถเดินทางล่วงหน้าไปก่อน แต่หลังจากนั้นเอง ภรรยาของเขาก็หายตัวไป และเสมือนว่าไม่มีใครเคยพบเห็นมาก่อน เรียกได้ว่าเป็นหนังสร้างชื่อของผู้กำกับ Jonathan Mostow ที่ทำออกมาได้เป็นอย่างดี ด้านกระแสตอบรับของนักวิจารณ์ก็ค่อนข้างจะดีมากๆ โดยองค์ประกอบหลายๆส่วนก็ถือลงตัวอยู่พอสมควร และเป็นหนังที่เดินเรื่องได้น่าติดตามมากๆ ลุ้นระทึกไปตลอดทั้งเรื่อง ภายใต้ปมปริศนา การค้นหาความจริง และการไล่ล่าที่สุดมันส์

หลังจากเกิดเหตุการณ์ถล่มของเหมืองเพชรแห่งหนึ่งที่ได้ตั้งอยู่ในแคนนาดา ซึ่งได้มีคนขับรถขุดเจาะแท่นน้ำแข็งจะต้องไปปฏิบัติภารกิจในการกู้ภัยที่มีแต่ความเป็นไปไม่ได้ในครั้งนี้ และสุดท้ายจะต้องพยายามเป็นอย่างมากเพื่อช่วยเหลือพวกคนงานที่ได้ติดอยู่ในเหมืองแห่งนี้ก่อนที่ทุกอย่างจะกลับกลายไปเป็นน้ำแข็ง

เป็นเรื่องของชายผู้หนึ่งนามเดวิด แมนน์ ที่ต้องการจะขับรถไปยังอีกเมืองหนึ่ง ผ่านทางหลวงที่วันๆแทบจะไม่มีรถผ่านเลย เหตุการณ์ทั้งหมดเกิดขึ้นในเวลากลางวันแสกๆ ซึ่งเริ่มเรื่องเขาก็ขับรถมาตามปกติ พอเริ่มออกจากเมืองมาเข้าสู่ชนบท จู่ๆก็ได้มีรถบรรทุกน้ำมันได้ขับมาจี้ตามติดๆ แรกๆเขาก็ไม่ได้่สงสัยอะไร แต่หลังๆเหตุการณ์เริ่มจะรุนแรงขึ้นเรื่อยๆ จนเขาต้องหาวิถีทางต่อสู้กับรถคันดังกล่าว

4 วัยรุ่น 2 หนุ่ม 2 สาว ได้ขับรถเที่ยวพากันไปต่างเมือง แต่แล้วก็เจอกับรถบรรทุกแปลกประหลาดได้สะกดรอยตามล่า ฆ่าพวกเขาและเธอ ซึ่งก่อนหน้านี้ถ้า 4 หนุ่มสาว ไม่ได้ไปทำปากดีใส่คนขับรถบรรทุกคันนี้ พวกเขาและเธอก็คงไม่จบชีวิตแบบนี้ก็เป็นได้
