สร้างจากเรื่องจริงของการปล้นธนาคาร ในปี 1971 แก็งค์โจรลงทุนเช่าร้านอาคารใกล้ๆ ธนาคาร วางแผนขุดอุโมงค์ใต้ดินเจาะเข้าไปยังตู้นิรภัยของธนาคารลอยด์ส กลางกรุงลอนดอน เพื่อปล้นเอาเงินสดและเครื่องเพชรล้ำค่ามูลค่ามากมายมหาศาล แต่ปรากฏว่าเรื่องราวความชั่วร้ายที่ถูกซุกซ่อนไว้ในตู้นิรภัย การฆาตกรรม การคอร์รัปชั่น และพฤติกรรมโสมมทางเพศที่โยงไปยังบุคคลในราชวงศ์อังกฤษ กลับถูกเปิดออกมาด้วย ภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้มีการเล่าเรื่องที่น่าติดตาม ตามแบบฉบับหนังอังกฤษที่มักเน้นเรื่องเนื้อหา และเสน่ห์ของตัวละครแต่ละตัว มีติอยู่นิดหนึ่งคือตัวเอก เทอรี่ เลเธอร์ ดูไม่ค่อยเข้ายุคกับนักแสดงอื่นๆ ส่วนมุมกล้องและทรานซิชั่นของเหตุการณ์ต่างๆที่เกิดขึ้นทำได้อย่างน่าสนใจ การเล่าเหตุการณ์สลับไปมาระหว่างเหตุการณ์ชั่วร้ายต่างๆ สลับกับการวางแผนปล้น เหมือนกับจะบอกว่าการปล้นใหญ่ครั้งนี้เลว แต่มีเรื่องอื่นที่เลวกว่านี้มากที่มนุษย์เราสามารถทำได้ ซึ่งคนเหล่านี้ก็ได้รับผลกรรมตามมาในภายหลัง สนุกดีครับดูภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้ทำให้นึกถึงภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Inside Man ที่มีเนื้อหาเรื่องการปล้นธนาคารครั้งใหญ่เหมือนกัน
