"Louceiras" portraits the daily life of the last ceramists of the Brazilian indigenous ethnic group Kariri-Xocó, who earn a living from clay. They inherit a tradition passed from mother to daughter concerning the art of choosing, manufacturing and cooking clay pots and pans. Living in a village by the São Francisco river in the city of Porto Real do Colégio(AL), they share with their people the secret of medicinal herbs, the Toré dance, the labour songs (rojão) and the secret of Ouricuri.

The short film transports us to a typical day in the heart of Sorocaba, revealing the vibrant pulse of the city center through the eyes of its workers. From sunrise to the frenetic hustle of daily life, we follow a water vendor who crosses paths with street sellers, shopkeepers, and passersby, while voiceovers give life to the dreams, challenges, and personal stories of these urban characters. As the sun sets, the journey culminates in a nighttime samba, where music and joy offer a moment of relief to those who live the daily grind. A celebration of everyday life and human resilience.
