Alberto Columbo is an engineer, sent on a useless mission in Melancias, an isolated village in Brazil, leaving behind Margherita, his unsatisfied, career-oriented wife.

Three young friends – aspiring film director Roberto, aspiring producer Ben and aspiring comedian Cico – move to Rome looking for a career in a film industry that they discover being well past its heyday.

A man wakes in a native village, unable to recall how he got there. As he's aided back to health through rest and the topless magic of a young girl, the village soon comes under attack by a helicopter which drives the man to flee into the jungle.
