In 1940s Changsha, General Zhang Qishan, fortune teller Qi Tiezui, and opera singer Er Yuehong uncover a mysterious tomb while exploring a hidden mine. As they face deadly traps, they expose a Japanese plot to destroy the city and must join forces to stop it.

The drama focuses on the Songhu Anti-Japanese War. It tells the story of Gu Xing, a small figure in Shanghai who was accidentally involved in a case involving counter-revolutionary forces and Japanese espionage organizations during the turbulent years of the war and took the revolutionary road by chance.
